“Harper?”
“Yes, Lucas?” he soon heard his name came out of her mouth.
He quickly looked down at her and smiled. “I thought you’ve fallen asleep.”
Harper yawned and stretched in the couch.
“Are you okay? I can go home, and you can go to your room and rest.”
Harper smiled up at him. “I’m just suddenly exhausted. Just give me ten minutes,” she said and scooted over to his side.
“Okay. We can do that,” he replied. He set the bottle of beer on the table and carefully wrapped his arms around her. As seconds passed by, he could feel her leaning into him more and more.
“I’m scared, you know,” he heard her muttered.
“Scared of what?”
“What Kendal said to me. About the huge dog that attacked Claire. I mean, dogs are supposed to be man’s best friend. However, news about dogs attacking humans isn’t really something new. But for it to happen to someone you know is what makes it scary, I guess.”
Then another moment of silence…
“Harper, do you believe that other creatures exist in this world?” Lucas spoke again.
“What a silly question? Of course!”
“I mean… other creatures.”
“I don’t think I understand what you’re asking.”
“You know…”
Smiling like a silly girl, Harper shook her head. “I really don’t.”
“Okay, let me rephrase the question.”
“Please do because I sincerely don’t understand your question.”
Lucas felt a hard, quick pulse in his throat, his fingers tapping against his bottom lip in a steady beat. “Do you…do you―um…do you believe in―ah―the supernatural?” Then he licked his suddenly dry lips. “
Harper suddenly burst into laughter. “What? Like vampires and fairies and mermaids?”
“Well… I’m not sure about mermaids, but yeah…vampires and…werewolves…lycans…”
Harper sat up and faced him, her hair mused from the couch. “What a weird question?! Especially coming from you!” she said, grinning.
Lucas pulled back slightly, his breath caught at how beautiful Harper look at that very moment. He could feel his wolf purr.
“Damn, you’re beautiful,” he said hoarsely instead, barely above a whisper.
“What?”
He stared deep into her eyes.
“Lucas?”
His wolf was suddenly becoming restless.
“Lucas? Are you okay?”
Should he give in to what he had been craving for far too long?
“Lucas? Hello?”
He held his breath.
“You know what, screw this shi―.” His lips were on hers before he could finish his own word. He wrapped her arms around her waist, kissing her passionately. Suddenly he was on to of her, shifting so that her legs parted, half-reclined. He didn’t waste a second and laid his torso to hers.
Harper moaned and wrapped her arms around his neck, fingers tangled in his hair. Lucas's hands wandered, caressing and groping her breasts and thighs while he swiped his tongue along her bottom lip before aggressing sucking it. He stroked her leg, going under her skirt and just a bit above mid-thigh. Everything went fuzzy for both of them.
He moved to start kissing her jawline then down her neck. When his lips meet her shoulders, he gently licked and nipped at the skin. His breathing had shot up. He couldn't bring himself to stop kissing every inch of her to draw a full breath.
His wolf roared.
He devoured Harper’s mouth once again, fingers deftly unbuttoning her top. And before she knew it, he was unbuttoning her bra. Once her chest was bare, he gave her hard, pink nipple a flick, then a pinch. Then he put his mouth on one nipple, suckling, licking, nibbling.
Harper immediately tangled both her hands in his hair, lightly tugging it. She couldn’t believe it was finally happening. She had dreamed of him, and now, there he was, on top of her, giving her pleasure just like how he had done it so many times in her dreams. But the sensual feeling she was experiencing now was so much better than her dreams. It was all too strong and powerful.
“Lucas,” she gasped. “Take…your…shirt off.”
Lucas’s mouth quickly released her breast as he pushed himself back up to a sitting position and tugged two layers of clothing off, his hands catching in the arm-holes of his cable knit sweater. Harper lightly giggled, reaching out to help pull at the sweater and shirt.
“Finally!” Lucas exclaimed, pulling down his pants and throwing them away, leaving nothing on but his gray boxer shorts. He turned his face back to Harper’s and brought his hand up to cup her cheek. He smiled at her with his adoring eyes. He couldn’t believe that he was truly on top of her, on her couch. He smirked when he saw that her lips were slightly swollen from their kiss.
Harper returned the smile, her bare chest rising and falling rapidly with her quickened breathing. Her arms came up, and she covered her breasts. Her cheeks were red.
Lucas could sense her nervousness. “Do you―do you want me to take you to your bed?” he asked.
Smiling, Harper nodded.
He quickly stood up from the couch and promptly leaned down to scoop her up. Harper locked her legs around his waist. His wolf groaned at the feel of her heat, so close to his stiff erection.
Harper admired how he walked to her bedroom with ease like she was light as a feather. He held her bottom with one arm to support her and opened the door with his free hand. He stepped inside and lowered her gently to the bed. He drew closer and then dropped to his knees at the edge of the bed.
“Lucas,” Harper gasped, her heart pounding, for she already knew what was about to happen.
He pulled her skirt down, and almost teasingly, slid her black silk underwear over the curve of her ass and down her legs. He suddenly slung her left leg over his broad shoulder. Harper huffed again in surprise.
He lifted her a little further up onto the bed and started kissing her hips, trailing down her thigh, gently licking at the soft skin. Harper looked up, and their eyes locked, then he brought his right hand up, and teasingly ran his middle finger along her slit. Harper dropped her head back and let out a loud moan, her bedsheets twisting under her hands. She was soaking wet.
“Lucas…” Her stomach clenched in anticipation.
He slowly rubbed his finger against the mound of flesh between her folds, stroking in a sensual rhythm, rubbing light circles. A shudder ran through her body, her back arching off the bed. Lucas could tell she needed more of him now. Hooking her other leg over his shoulder, he stretched out on the bed, his mouth level with her dripping center.
“Lucas…” she called his name again between ragged breathing. She had seen the sight of him between her legs countless times in her dreams, but to see him right there, for real, had sent her moaning some more.
Lucas held her gaze as his tongue parted her folds and dipped into her waiting heat. He tongued her soft lips, alternating between stroking and sucking and kissing. Harper’s hips jerked against him, and her hands went down to pulled at his hair.
“Shit! Lucas, I don’t want to wake the neighbors up. I’m sorry, but I can’t help it,” she whimpered as she drew back. “It feels so good.”
“To hell with them,” Lucas replied, then pushed one finger into her, then another one, and curled them in a motion while his tongue went on to lick around her nub, leaving her trembling, muscles coiled, panting and writhing.
“You’re so fucking hot right now, Harper,” he said, his own voice was a rasp. “You have no idea how many times I had run this moment in my head.” The ache from his own hard cock was almost too much to bear. He swallowed, taking a deep breath. His wolf was going mad at the scent of Harper’s arousal.
Focusing more on her than his own need, he lightly licked her top to bottom. Then he slowly dipped his tongue inside her, swirling it against the soft tissue before dragging just the tip of it up through her folds a second time. When he felt her release building up, he fastened his mouth to her and caught her bundle of nerve, circling it before rubbing it with the tip of his tongue in varied speed, pattern, and pressure. She trembled. Her moans were increasing, her breathing sped up, and her heels dug into the mattress. Her hands were tightly gripping his hair, holding him closer.
“Lucas, I’m... fuuuck…coming,” she broke off on a strangled cry. Then, her eyes nearly rolled in the back of her head as she came hard around his tongue. Her hips bucked, but he held her steady as he continued to lick until she was so high up in her climax.
He gave the sensitive skin in her inner thighs feathery kisses before he laid on his back right beside her. Their harsh breathing was the only sound in the room. He turned to her, sprawled and still trying to catch her breath as she gazed into the distance with an elated smile on her face.
“How about you?” she awkwardly asked after a moment.
Lucas chuckled at her question. “I’m going to need you to rest first.”
With her eyes slowly closing, Harper’s smile broadened. “Why? Is it going to be hard and rough? Is that what you like? Are you into that stuff?”
He shook his head, grinning at how cute Harper just sounded. He kissed her hard before drawing back, “I’m into anything as long as it’s with you,” he whispered
Harper’s fingers lazily stroked over his cheek, smiling at how things had changed so quickly between them. Lucas leaned over, closing the tiny bit of space between them with a kiss which went on until sleep finally consumed her.
