Chapter 17

Dimitri held the door open for me as we reached the entrance of the mansion. His concern for my safety outweighed any other consideration, and he insisted on taking me home.

"Make sure no one enters this house except for me and Elena," he instructed the maids who had gathered, his voice sharp and commanding. "I'll put some of my trusted men to guard this mansion. If anything happens to Ophelia inside this house, you will all be held accountable." He paused, his gaze meeting mine, a flicker of suspicion in his eyes.

I reached for his hand, my fingers intertwining with his. "Dimitri," I whispered.

He cupped my cheek, his touch warm and reassuring. "I'm sorry, darling," he murmured, his fingers gently stroking my hand. "Even though you're safe inside the mansion, we can't be sure who to trust. Even the maids who work here." His voice held a deep weariness.

I smiled, "I will be fine." He leaned in, kissing my forehead.

"I know, darling. Your husband is just worried," he said, his voice a gentle murmur. I felt a blush creep up my cheeks at his words, "Go upstairs and rest for now. I have something to take care of."

I nodded, my heart heavy with the weight of the day's events. The unsettling events clung to me like a suffocating cloak. I needed a break, desperately. Even though I wanted to dive into my work, to finally start living my dream, I had no choice but to rest.

I sank onto the bed, letting out a shaky breath. This was the first time I'd received a message with a picture of me. For eight years, it had been just words, threats whispered in the digital shadows. Two weeks ago, after Dimitri's proposal, the threats escalated. I'd braced myself for this, knowing that even before Dimitri and I had become a couple, I'd received death threats. But they were different. The picture I'd seen earlier was enough to shatter the fragile sanity I'd clung to.

I sank onto the bed, the weight of my fear pulling me down. The thought of that person returning to haunt me was terrifying, but I knew I would be fine. I have Dimitri now.

I closed my eyes, trying to replace the memories of the past with the present, but even as I forced them to the back of my mind, they clawed their way back to the surface.

I was lost in my thoughts when the door to my room suddenly opened, and Dimitri entered. He walked towards me.

"I thought you were leaving?" I asked, sitting up. Dimitri settled beside me, his warmth radiating through the sheets.

"Yes, but I want to see you before leaving, darling," he said, his voice a soft caress. Dimitri pulled me into a tight embrace. "I don't want to, but I think I'll be away from you for a few weeks."

I remained silent, unable to find the words to express the wave of apprehension that washed over me.

"I'm sorry," he said, pulling away from the embrace and cupping my cheeks in his hands. His gray eyes, filled with love and worry. "I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can," he murmured, kissing my forehead. I returned his embrace, holding him close.

"Just be safe, Dimitri," I whispered, my voice muffled against his chest. We held each other for a long moment, the silence filled with unspoken anxieties and a shared need for reassurance. Finally, he pulled away, his gaze searching mine.

"You don't need to worry about me, darling," he said, his voice firm. "I need to hear the answer to your question. Will you promise to be safe while I'm away, Ophelia?"

I nodded, my voice catching in my throat. "I'm used to these threats, Dimitri. Maybe I'll be fine. And I promise, I won't leave the mansion."

The thought of him leaving, even for a few weeks, sent a wave of anxiety crashing over me. His words promised a swift return, but a deep-seated fear whispered a different truth. I knew, with a sinking feeling, that weeks could easily stretch into months before I could see him again.

"I know the look on your face," he murmured, his fingers gently tracing the curve of my cheek. He smiled, a reassuring warmth radiating from his eyes. "Don't worry, darling. I promise to come home to you as soon as I can."

I grasped his hand, forcing a smile, a smile that felt brittle and fragile. But his words, his gentle touch, offered a glimmer of hope, a promise that I desperately wanted to believe.

Dimitri's face drew closer, stopping just inches away, his warm breath fanning my cheek. My gaze locked on his gray eyes holding me captive, their depths swirling with a potent mix of desire and tenderness. He moved slowly as his lips brushed mine. I closed my eyes, surrendering to the sweet pressure of his lips.

I felt his hands on my back, drawing me closer, and I instinctively wrapped my arms around his nape. The kiss deepened while Dimitri's tongue traced the seam of my lips, a silent invitation, and I yielded to it, opening my mouth for him to enter.

Our tongues met.

I closed my eyes as I felt his hands slip beneath my clothes. I couldn't help but move, my body instinctively seeking a closer connection, and I found myself straddling him as our lips were still locked in a passionate embrace.

His hands traced the curve of my stomach, making me arch against him. A gasp escaped my lips as his fingers brushed the lace of my panties. I opened my eyes, but his eyes remained closed, his focus solely on the pleasure of our kiss.

A shiver ran through me as his fingers found the center of my panties, a delicate dance of feather-light touch and electrifying sensation. I tightened my grip on him, my body arching into his, as his kiss deepened, his tongue a fiery dance against mine. I almost bit his lips when he slipped a finger inside me.

I tried to pull away, to break the fiery spell of his kiss, but his lips claimed mine with a possessive intensity. As he deepened the kiss, his finger moved inside me, a slow, deliberate rhythm that sent waves of pleasure rippling through my body.

A soft moan escaped my lips, a sound that seemed to ignite a fire in him. He responded with a surge of passion, his finger's movement inside me became faster. I clung to him, my fingers digging into his hair, my body arching into his.

Dimitri pulled back from the kiss, his gaze lingering on my lips, a playful smirk curving his mouth. I blushed, my cheeks burning as I caught a glimpse of my own saliva clinging to his lips. He stared at me, his gaze was a scorching inferno, as his finger continued its rhythmic dance inside me.

"Moan my name, darling," he whispered, his voice a husky caress, a seductive invitation.

My eyes swam with desire as I stared at Dimitri. I bit my lip, my gaze dropping to his hand, the way it moved inside me, a mesmerizing dance of pleasure. My hands found his arms, his powerful muscles rippled beneath my touch. My mind raced as my senses were heightened by the sight of his veins pulsing beneath his skin, a testament to his strength, a seductive allure that sent shivers down my spine.

"Dimitri..." I whispered, my voice a husky caress.

"You are making me crazy, Ophelia," he murmured, his breath hot against my skin as he captured my lips in a searing kiss. I met his kiss with equal fervor, my body arching into his. "I can feel your pussy twitching on my fingers, darling," he whispered, his voice a husky rasp.

I couldn't hold back the moan that escaped my lips, a sound of pure, unadulterated ecstasy.

"Let me feel you, Ophelia," he whispered. His words ignited a fire within me, a fire that reached its peak as a wave of pleasure crashed over me, a tidal wave of sensation as my body convulsed. My muscles tightened as my breath hitched.

I felt a warm, liquid sensation flow down my thighs. Dimitri withdrew his hand, his gaze never leaving mine, while a playful smirk curved his lips. He brought his fingers to his mouth, his tongue tracing the glistening trail of my cum. A blush crept up my cheeks, a mixture of embarrassment and arousal, as I watched him savor the taste of my surrender.

He captured my lips in a swift, searing kiss, then he pulled back immediately. A tender smile graced his lips. He leaned down, his lips brushing my forehead.

"I love you so much, Ophelia," he whispered. I wrapped my arms around him, holding him close, my body still trembling with the aftershocks of pleasure. I nestled his head against my neck.

"I love you too, Dimitri," I whispered. I ran my fingers through the strands of his hair, "I don't know what to do without you. Thank you for making everything feel right."

Dimitri held me tighter.

"I would offer everything for you, darling," he murmured, his voice a gentle caress against my ear. I smiled, my heart overflowing with love and contentment.

I closed my eyes, savoring the warmth of his body against mine, the rhythm of his heartbeat a soothing lullaby. I wished this moment could last forever, a timeless embrace that would shield me from the world's harsh realities.
