Chapter 41: The Evil Patrice.

Sue jumped into her red car and drove off at a speed. She devised many evil plans for Isabella as she drove to Patrice’s house, her heart pounding with determination. She rushed in and rapped on the door. Desperate to stop Patrice from leaving. To her horror, she found Patrice packing up her belongings, a look of determination in her eyes. Sue became agitated as she heard. "Sue, what are you doing here?" Patrice's voice was laced with annoyance. Sue had already concocted how to use Patrice for her benefit, but Parice had not yet bought into her plans. "I need your help," Sue implored, stepping closer. "I need you to get revenge on Isabella. If you stay and take her out, I'll give you one million dollars."Patrice's eyes widened at the offer, but she hesitated. "Which Isabella?" she asked cautiously. From her experience, one of Isabella's was evil, and the other was good. She could take advantage of the good Isabella, but she had to be careful with the evil Isabella; with the two looking identical, she could not determine who was whom. Sue sighed, frustration evident in her voice. "The one from the Pack House. That's where she lives with Beta Ian."

Meanwhile, Jamieson Talbert pretended to be asleep in his room, listening to the conversation happening in the living room. His heart filled with shame and disgust at Patrice's wickedness. How could she continue to harm his beloved daughter? He has never considered Isabella anything less since he found her in the Pack Forest that day. To him, she was his beautiful, precious daughter, and he had to protect her. He waited until Sue left, then dialled Patrice's number. He told her to get to their room right then.

The argument that followed was explosive. Jamieson asked Patrice, "How could you continue to harm my daughter, Isabella? She sneered at him. "Your daughter, huh!" the argument continued as he defended Isabella. He told her to stop hurting his daughter. Patrice's ill-tempered nature reared its ugly head, and she grabbed a knife and lunged at Jamieson with the knife in hand. But before she could strike, their son walked in, his eyes wide with shock as he saw his mother poised to attack his father.

Taking swift action, Jamie, their son, disarmed Patrice and stood protectively before his father. "We're leaving for the neighbouring Pack tomorrow," he declared firmly, his voice filled with determination. "You, Mom, you need to settle down and think straight. Do you want the Alpha here in a heartbeat? I am taking you away because I know you are unhappy in this Pack." If you do not comply, we will stay in this Pack, and I will have to tell the Alpha what you and Sue have been up to. Make your choice." Realising she had no choice, Patrice agreed to the terms, albeit with reluctance. She promised Jamie that she would follow through, needing just a few more weeks before she could leave. Jamieson warned her not to get involved with Sue's plans, or she would face the consequences of her behaviour. She took a deep breath as all kinds of emotions filled her body. She stood there trembling and stammering to her son. He told her to breathe in and out until she calmed down. These days, the only person she listens to is her beloved son, Jamie.

As the sun set on the turbulent events of the day, Patrice approached Jamieson and applied for her unreasonable behaviour. Realising she was compliant, Jamieson found solace in his destined mate's arms, grateful for their love for each other. With a heavy heart, he made plans to move in with his family, leaving behind the chaos that had engulfed his mind. Jamieson encouraged Patrice to talk to Beta Ian so he would know Sue's plan; with that, the final chapter of Isabella's past family came to a close, and the tangled web of deceit and revenge unravelled, paving the way for a new beginning filled with hope and love.

Ian had never been one to dabble in the world of intrigue, let alone kidnapping plots. Yet, there he found himself in an unadorned office, listening to the nervous pattern of Patrice's breathing as she outlined the plan Sue had crafted. Day by day, he had watched Patrice transform under Sue's tutelage, her timidity replaced by a grim determination. Her dark eyes flickered with an intensity he had not seen before.

They kept a close, almost obsessive watch on Isabella throughout that month. The routine was simple: watch, trace, and plan. Their eyes traced Isabella's movements, religiously following her as she ran with the Warriors, her lithe figure moving rhythmically against the backdrop of the early morning sun. Each observation was meticulously logged, forming the spider's web of their master plan. Ian often wondered why Isabella drew the ire of Patrice and Sue, but he had learned not to question, merely to observe. Patrice, in particular, held a certain hatred towards Isabella and the Pack, a fierce, burning flame of resentment that had taken root deep within her heart. He knew that Patrice had no particular reason for hating Isabella. He decided to disclose to Patrice that Isabella was not Jamieson's daughter but the child of the Goddess Celine and her fated Mate.

As the month drew to a close, the tension was palpable. The plan was set to unfold under the full moon's glow when exhaustion gripped the Pack, draining their strength. Patrice's vengeance would come to fruition and the hunters would strike their blows on the Pack. The first attack on Sophia, who they assumed was the Beta's mate, occurred two weeks before the full moon. They hoped to use the element of surprise, but Sophia proved too strong, her warrior blood proving mightier than their plans. She decimated the group of hunters, leaving nothing behind but their abandoned equipment, which was swiftly tossed into the dungeon. Undeterred, they prepared for the moon night, bolstering their numbers and readying themselves for the assault. Sophia, clutching the snowflake keys in her trembling hands, summoned her power and conjured a blue barrier, encasing the Pack's lands like a protective shroud.

But as the night draped the world in its sombre hues, the invaders arrived, their numbers dwarfing what they had expected. Ian felt a shiver run down his spine, but there was no turning back. Isabella arrived on the scene and conjoined her pink powers with Sophia's as the purple barrier flickered and buzzed, ready to welcome the hunters. It was a moment that threatened to devour everything Ian knew, but it was only the beginning. Their actions were waiting to unfurl, guided by the howl of the wolves and the gleam of the moonlight.

my Beloved Readers,

Thank you for your patience. I apologise for not keeping up with my writing. I was diagnosed with cataracts and had to complete my treatment with surgery in both eyes. My healing took about six weeks. My eyes are better now, and I am back to writing. Let us see where this story takes us.

Love always,

Your Author.
