Emotional interviews could quickly be brought to an end, with no further broadcasts, and even the host apologizing for their words – all thanks to Lambert.
Although this left him owing his friend Lennon a favor, hearing from Wythe’s call that Lydia’s mood had improved greatly also brought him a sense of satisfaction.
As for Lydia, though unaware of all this, she didn’t continue to focus her energy on the scoundrel Ron.
As for remarriage, Lydia expressed complete indifference, stating she could just as well sue Ron for bigamy!
Meanwhile, Lambert hadn’t called during this time, leaving Lydia feeling unsettled. Despite her earlier request for no contact, she couldn’t help but secretly resent his absence.
Wythe noticed Lydia’s mixed feelings and thus, on the same day, when he and Lambert were video calling, he deliberately called Lydia over.
Seeing Lambert’s dazzling dark eyes on the screen, Lydia couldn’t help but blush. Suddenly, all those little bumps in their relationship seemed to vanish, as if talking to this person alone was already fulfilling enough! Wythe took advantage of the moment, winked mischievously at Lambert, and then said to Lydia, “Mom, you guys talk, I’ll go watch some TV.”
Just as Lydia was about to leave with Wythe, she heard Lambert’s low voice from the other end of the
video call, “Lydia, wait.”
Feeling awkward, Lydia sat back down, her expression not as natural as before.
“You…”
“You…”
They both started simultaneously but then stopped at the same time. Lambert, displaying his gentlemanly manners, gestured for Lydia to speak first.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to ignore you that day. I was just really confused at the time, not sure how to face
you! Perhaps you don’t remember, but six years ago, that night meant a lot to me…”
”
“I remember!”
Lambert interrupted Lydia, surprising her. “What did you say?”
Lambert’s gaze was intense and affectionate, even through the screen, making Lydia’s face flush. “I said I remember that night six years ago was unforgettable for me too! In fact, I recognized you at the airport, I just didn’t know how to approach you. Later, by chance, we met again. I feel like, perhaps, it’s fate!”
Lydia’s ears turned crimson, looking into the man’s deep eyes, she felt her heart completely surrender.

“As for Wythe…”
Even though she understood her feelings now, the thought of Halsey’s parents still eyeing her son made her uneasy.
Lambert’s tone was resolute, “I’ll bring him back! With you! We were meant to be a family, and no one can tear us apart!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Her heart pounding fiercely in her chest, Lydia clumsily hung up the phone, not even managing to say goodbye. Afterwards, she felt a pang of regret and quickly pulled out her phone, sending a message with just two words, “Goodnight!”
Upon receiving the message after the abrupt end of the video call, Lambert’s lips curved slightly.
A good night’s sleep!

The next day, Lydia went to work at the company feeling refreshed.
In the clean and tidy office building, employees were busy with their tasks. Lydia sat in her office, making final adjustments to the sample designs.
As the Design Director and Head of the studio, she always aimed for excellence. Unaware of what was about to disrupt the studio’s busy yet peaceful atmosphere.
Standing at the entrance of Lydia’s company in ten–centimeter high heels, Maggie’s heart surged with jealousy!
Why! Why did Lydia get to have so much that she didn’t?
Maggie’s eyes burned with anger and envy. She thought of herself, now bearing the title of Miss G Group, yet having nothing. It infuriated her!
Everything should have been hers!
Before Lydia appeared, she was the glamorous socialite, a well–known heiress in the social circle.
But as soon as Lydia appeared, her world fell apart.
Maggie tossed her hair, feeling miserable, but she wouldn’t let Lydia have such a smooth life!
“Lydia, come out!”
Maggie stood at the studio’s entrance shouting loudly. The receptionist quickly approached, politely asking, “Miss, whom are you looking for? Do you have an appointment?”

Maggie snorted coldly and retorted to the receptionist, “Who are you? Where’s Lydia? Get her out!”
The receptionist, feeling embarrassed, promptly called Lydia. However, Maggie didn’t wait quietly; instead, she continued to shout insults.
“Lydia, you shameless slut! Running away with a man before, and now that you’re back, you’re seducing Ron again! Can’t you live without a man? You heartless bitch! Your parents raised you, and you come back just to plot and steal the company! Come out, stop hiding like a coward!”
“Lydia, come out!”
As Maggie spoke, she walked towards the studio. Seeing the sample clothes hanging there, she ripped
them off and threw them on the ground.
Trash cans were kicked over, and the design sketches on the table were scattered all over.
When some employees attempted to intervene, she yelled, “What? Are you Lydia’s lovers? Why do you care about her things so much? Let me tell you, that bitch is just after money. How do you think she got the title of designer? She probably slept with countless men abroad these years. Do you even know if those men had diseases? Aren’t you afraid of getting infected?”
Some couldn’t bear watching anymore and tried to pull Maggie away, but she scratched their arms with her nails, “Who dares touch me! I’m Lydia’s sister! Get Lydia out here!”
The employees in the studio looked at each other in confusion, bewildered by the sudden chaos.
Most of them were involved in arts and design; they had never encountered such a scene before.
When Lydia received the notification and came out of her office, the entire studio was in disarray. Employees stood there, perplexed, watching Maggie lose control.
Maggie, like a real shrew, wreaked havoc in Lydia’s studio!
Seeing the once clean and tidy workspace turned into a mess, Maggie wore an extremely satisfied smile,
although it twisted her face grotesquely.
Lydia came down from the second floor, her face darkened, and she shouted sternly. “Maggie! Have you
caused enough trouble?”
