Chapter 35 Thank you, my hero!
A pair of slender legs, wrapped in straight trousers, stepped out of the car first. Then, a chill breeze greeted, yet it was oddly refreshing.
The newcomer had a cold and aloof demeanor, with tightly pursed lips and sharp eyes that seemed to pierce through one’s soul, making people inexplicably tremble with fear.
Lambert got out of the car and slowly walked towards Lydia. His icy gaze fell on Ron like a knife, and his cold voice carried an air of undeniable authority.
“Let her go!”
Ron’s heart skipped a beat. The intense pressure made his legs tremble, but he still mustered the courage to face Lambert head–on. “Who are you? Why should I listen to you?”
Lambert narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze lowering, his deep eyes glancing at Ron. “Do you know who you’re talking to?”
Ron felt his hair stand on end. The intense anger in the man’s eyes seemed to indicate that he could send Ron to his grave with just a look!
He clenched his fists, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. He was shocked to his core. Who was this man? A mere glance seemed to reduce him to dust!
Ron was terrified, but the thought of winning Lydia’s forgiveness and reclaiming his former glory gave him courage again. “Who are you, exactly?”
Lambert’s gaze fell even lower as he looked down at Ron kneeling on the ground. “Lydia’s current
boyfriend!”
Ron was briefly stunned, then shouted loudly, “No! I don’t believe it! Lydia, you said the one you loved was
me!”
Lambert frowned slightly, surprised by Lydia’s ex–husband’s shamelessness. He sneered, “Are you talking about what happened six years ago? I heard you two have been separated for a long time!”
Ron wanted to argue, but before he could, Lambert’s mere glance prompted his bodyguard, Bob, to step forward and pull Ron up by his collar, as if he could snap Ron’s neck with a single push..
Thinking of Harlan’s fate days ago, fear instantly engulfed Ron. He shouted, “Lydia, you can’t let this man hit me! After all, I’m your husband!”
Silence fell around them. No one dared to speak up for Ron. In fact, after Lambert appeared, the surrounding onlookers fell silent one by one. It was clear that he was not someone to be trifled with!
Angry, Lydia stepped forward and kicked Ron. “You make me sick! When you and Maggie were having an

affair, why didn’t you think of me as your husband? We haven’t had a relationship for six years. Now, your legal wife is Maggie!”
The whispers spread among the crowd. It turned out that Ron was a scumbag who pretended to be deeply
in love but had ulterior motives.
Lambert stepped forward, embracing Lydia in his arms. He looked coldly at Ron. “Tell me, how much money does it take to keep you from bothering Lydia?”
Ron looked embarrassed for a moment, but quickly recovered. He shouted at Lambert, “It’s not about money, I love her!”
“Haha…” Lambert laughed coldly. “Then tell me, what can you offer her?”
“I can certainly give her a happy future!”
“Don’t be ridiculous! Mr. Ron, as far as I know, your current wife is Maggie, Lydia’s sister. You and Lydia
got together shortly after you married. Six years ago, Lydia disappeared, and you and Maggie maintained
a clandestine relationship. Three years ago, you two got married, and the condition was to hand over the
G Group to you after Lydia’s father’s death. But unfortunately, not long ago, the G Group returned to
Lydia’s hands, so you suddenly fell out of love?”
The more Ron heard, the more flustered he became. How did this man know so much?
Lambert smirked, his lips curling mockingly. “A man who has nothing and wants to have two wives,
where do you get the confidence to give Lydia happiness?”
Lydia’s eyes welled up with tears as she reached out and held Lambert’s hand. Ever since he appeared,
her heart had calmed down. It was as if she wouldn’t be afraid of anything as long as Lambert was there!
So, in front of everyone, Lydia took the initiative to kiss Lambert’s lips. “Thank you, my hero!”
Lambert’s eyes deepened, and he immediately wrapped his arms around her waist, carrying her into the car. Bob, the bodyguard, simply threw Ron on the ground.
The car sped away, leaving a trail of dust. Ron, lying on the ground, looked extremely miserable!
He watched the car disappear into the distance, a glint of fierceness flashing in his eyes. He got up from the ground, spat in the direction of the departing car, then saw someone pointing and whispering at him. Instantly furious, he shouted, “What the hell are you looking at? Get lost!”
The crowd dispersed, solidifying Ron’s image as a scumbag!

As soon as they got into the car, Lambert captured Lydia’s red lips. In that moment when he saw other men coveting her, he just had to do it!

Lydia’s mind went blank, feeling Lambert’s firm chest pressing against her softness, making her heart
beat wildly.
“Lambert…”
Lydia helplessly called out his name, her slightly reddened eyes already filled with a hint of moisture, shimmering with various emotions.
Lambert’s throat tightened, a rush of heat surging down, causing him to hold Lydia even tighter. His tongue plunged into Lydia’s mouth, plundering it fiercely.
For a moment, Lydia almost felt like she would suffocate to death.
The atmosphere inside the car instantly heated up. Bob, who was driving, kept his eyes fixed on the road
ahead, but his ears were turning red.
Oh my goodness, despite being with Lambert for so long, this was the first time he had seen him so passionate! What should he do?
Lydia lifted her head slightly, meeting Lambert’s deep gaze. The scorching heat in his eyes made her
inexplicably want to escape.
The roaring of the car engine reminded her of their current situation, and her face flushed instantly.
“No!”
Lydia’s soft voice stopped Lambert’s descending hand. Seeing the panic and helplessness in her eyes, Lambert sighed deeply, kissed her forehead, and tightened his grip on her waist. He closed his eyes, suppressing the heat and desire in his heart.
After a long exhale, he finally regained his composure.
“Lambert, what were you doing there?”
Lambert paused, his expression unchanged as he replied, “Just a coincidence.”
Bob, who was responsible for keeping an eye on people, expressed his helplessness.
Where in the world were there so many coincidences?
