Chapter 111 Chapter One Hundred and Eleven
Curtis sighs, and looks over at Reece with a, are you kidding me look. "Because she doesn't ask stupid questions."
I burst out laughing unable to stop myself. "Well screw you too dad."
Curtis laughs. "Good morning Reece." He puts extra emphasis on the word good and I laugh harder.
Reece smiles victoriously. "Good morning Dad and thank you!"
Curtis rolls his eyes and Raikin and Ryder come into the dining room. "Good morning Ryder, good morning Raikin." Curtis puts extra emphasis on good for both of them and I laugh so hard I start crying.
Ryder and Raikin look between me and Curtis confused. "Ummm, good morning Dad." Ryder says, still looking at me confused, but I can't stop the laughter that is bubbling up out of me. Even my mom keep a small laugh from escaping, not a fake laugh either. It's one of her real laughs that you only get to hear every now and then.
"Why did you say good morning like that?" Raikin asks.
Curtis glances at Reece and laughs. "Didn't want you boys to get offended if I didn't say good morning. Reece got his panties in a bunch when I said morning."
Raikin and Ryder both laugh. Raikin walks over and slaps Reece on the shoulder. "Reece here can be sensitive sometimes dad, didn't you know that."
Reece pushes Raikin away and they both laugh. Curtis shakes his head, laughing a little. "Alright now, everybody sit down and eat some food."
We all take a seat and fill our plates. Curtis tries to make small talk with the four of us, my mom chimes in a little here and there but we are all to distracted to hold a full conversation. Its a lot of uh huh, yeah, and head shaking, with a few little laughs here and there.
Maybe it's because we are just ready for our parents to leave but I swear I don't think we have ever finished a meal this quickly before. "Wow, you guys were hungry this morning." Curtis chuckles looking between the four of us.
I giggle. "Yeah, I guess we were."
Curtis smiles. "Well how about we do presents real quick, we still have a little time before we need to head to the airport."
"Sure dad that sounds good!" Reece is the first to answer.
Curtis nods his head smiling. "Great, let's go to the living room."
We all get up and follow him into the living room. I take a seat on couch, Reece and Ryder sit on either side of me, Raikin sits in a recliner, Mom sits in the other recliner and Curtis hands out presents. We each open our first one and it's clothes.
I glance at the size tag knowing I will probably have to exchange it, Mom never gets me the right size, but I'm wrong. The shirt and jacket are actually in my size. The most surprising thing is, they are actually super cute.
The guys all got clothes too. We open a few more and they are more clothes and some shoes. All of which is my size, amazingly. We get down to our last present and I start to open it.
It's a gift basket type present. There is a brand new super expensive camera that I have been wanting for so long, all the accessories to go with the camera and a gift certificate in the bottom of the basket.
A dinner for two at the new super fancy restaurant that just opened about an hour away. A dinner that I'm sure Curtis no doubt intended for me and Logan to go to. That will not be happening though. This dinner for two will be a dinner for four with my guys.
"Thank you mom, thank you Curtis I love this so much!" I thank them, feeling genuinely happy.
Curtis smiles looking over at me. "You're welcome sweetheart."
I glance around at what the guys got, they all got a different video game console and a few new games. Wow our parents went all out. They must feel super bad, or maybe this is what a normal Christmas looks like and I've just never had one before.
The guys all thank Mom and Curtis. We give my mom and Curtis their presents and they open them, thanking us. Mom gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Curtis hugs me and kisses the top of my head in a fatherly way.
Curtis gives an apologetic smile. "Well guys, I guess we better get going. I'm sure the airport is crazy right now and we have a long drive to get there."
I give a small smile. I am kind of sad they are leaving, especially after the amazing family Christmas we have had. On the other hand I am super excited to have this time with my guys. We won't have to hide or sneak around, we can just be together. "Okay, you guys be careful and let us know when you make it to the airport and when you land in Paris."
Curtis smiles. "Of course. There is plenty of groceries in the fridge and pantry. I left money on the counter for you guys to go out to eat or whatever. Absolutely no parties or any other craziness in my house do you guys understand?" He asks, giving each of the guys a pointed look.
Ryder laughs rolling his eyes. "Don't worry dad, there won't be any parties or anything else."
"Yeah dad, we are just going to spend some time with our new baby sis and watch movies and crap." Raikin chimes in, and I feel heat spreading from my chest to my cheeks. Hopefully Curtis doesn't notice.
"Don't worry about us dad. You guys just go have fun. We will be fine." Reece gives him an innocent smile and I almost laugh knowing exactly what's going through his mind.
Curtis narrows his eyes at the three of them and turns to me. "Lilly make sure they don't do anything stupid while we are gone and if you want to hang out with Logan feel free to have him over anytime you want to okay?" He asks.
I glance over at my guys and they all look tense I know they hate pretending Logan is my boyfriend and honestly I do too. Hopefully we won't have to pretend for much longer. I turn back to Curtis and force a smile.
"Don't worry I will make sure nothing crazy happens around here."
Curtis laughs and pulls me into a hug. "Thank you Lilly. I love you."
I think this is the first time he has said he loves me. I mean he has clumped me into a group I love you with his sons, but I think this is my first time hearing it directed to me.
"I love you too." I whisper awkwardly. I don't know how to do this, I do love him like a dad but I have never really had a real father figure so this is weird.
