Chapter 127 I missed you
DAMIEN
The moment softened, settling. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, my thumb brushing against her lip as I leaned down to press a gentle kiss to the bridge of her nose.
She giggled and God...that sound, that sound alone was enough to ruin me. I moved to sit beside her, patting my lap. She hesitated, blushed then slowly climbed on, straddling me carefully. I held her steady, my hands firm on her waist as she settled against me.
She fit perfectly, like she always had. “I missed you,” I murmured, pressing a kiss to her head.
Her fingers tightened around me.
“I missed you too,” she whispered.
And for a moment… everything felt right again.
Like nothing had ever happened and I had never lost her, like the past year had never existed.
But then “Tesoro…”
My voice faltered slightly..she stilled and I knew.
I knew this moment had been coming. “The contract is over…”
Her breath hitched and just like that everything shifted again. The door was flung open and the doctor strolled in, only to immediately regret it the second his eyes landed on us.
His entire body froze mid-step, his gaze darting from me to Jasmine, then back again, his face flushing a deep, uncomfortable red. “S-sorry, Mr and Mrs Black, I-I’ll come back later,” he stammered, already turning on his heel, clearly desperate to escape whatever situation he had just walked into.
Jasmine shifted in my lap, mortified, attempting to slide off me, but my hands tightened around her hips, holding her firmly in place. “Hold on.”
My voice came out low and commanding, cutting through both of them at once. The doctor stopped instantly and so did Jasmine. I rose from the bed in one smooth motion, lifting her along with me so she instinctively wrapped her legs around my torso. Her cheeks burned a deep crimson as I settled my hands beneath her, gripping her derrierè with deliberate ease.
She gasped softly at the contact, her fingers tightening around my shoulders as she buried her face into the crook of my neck.
I smirked faintly at her reaction before sitting her back down on the edge of the bed “Check her,” I ordered, my tone leaving no room for argument.
The doctor nodded frantically, adjusting his glasses with shaky fingers as he tried very hard not to look directly at us.“Yes—yes, of course,” he mumbled, stepping closer, though his eyes kept flickering away in embarrassment.
Every now and then, she’d shift slightly, clearly uncomfortable—not from pain, but from the position she was in. I, on the other hand, was perfectly fine. More than fine.
The doctor cleared his throat, finishing up quickly.
“Um… she’s fine. Y-you can take her home,” he said, his voice still shaky. “Just make sure she rests and doesn’t eat any spicy food for a while. Her medication will be given to you at the pharmacy.”
He extended the clipboard toward me with trembling hands. "Just sign here.”
I took it with my free hand, not bothering to move Jasmine as I signed the papers with ease, my signature bold and effortless against the page.
“H-have a nice day,” he added quickly before practically fleeing the room.
The door shut behind him with a soft click.
Silence followed. Then Jasmine slowly lifted her head from my neck, her wide eyes scanning the now empty room as if she was trying to confirm that the doctor was truly gone.
A deep chuckle escaped my lips, then another.
Before I knew it, I was laughing, really laughing, my chest shaking beneath her as the sound filled the room..She turned to me with a pout, her brows furrowing in mild annoyance as I set her more comfortably on my lap. “My pretty little baby,” I murmured, nudging her nose with mine.
She huffed softly, but the corner of her lips twitched before she flicked my nose lightly with her finger.
I blinked, caught off guard.
Then narrowed my gaze at her. “Oh?” I muttered, my hands tightening on her hips.
Without warning, I squeezed her again.
A soft, startled sound slipped from her lips, her entire body going rigid as her face turned an even deeper shade of red.
The air between us shifted instantly, thick, heavy, charged. My mind betrayed me immediately, dragging me back to every memory I had of her beneath me, around me, with me, the kitchen, the living room, the bedroom. Everywhere, every fucking place.
She shifted slightly in my lap, and her gaze dropped—straight to where my bulge was becoming more and more obvious. "Fuck,” I muttered under my breath.
Her eyes widened slightly, curiosity mixing with embarrassment as she stared. “Don’t worry about it, baby,” I said casually, though my grip on her tightened just a little.
But she didn’t look away. “I-is it okay?” she asked softly, her voice innocent, her teeth sinking into her bottom lip.
My eyes followed that motion, my jaw tightening.
“It’s fine,” I replied, my voice lower now. “You could be reading, talking… doing absolutely nothing, and I’d still get hard for you.”
I leaned closer, my lips brushing against her ear.
“Only you.” She sucked in a sharp breath, immediately covering her flushed face with her hands.
“Come on,” I said after a moment, forcing myself to regain some control. “Let’s get you out of this.”
I gestured to the pale blue hospital gown she was wearing.
She nodded quickly, sliding off my lap and standing up beside me. I reached into the bag I had brought, pulling out the dress I had picked for her.
“Here,” I said, holding it out.
She took it, but instead of changing immediately, she froze, her fingers tightened around the fabric. Her face paled slightly. My brows furrowed, something was wrong. But I didn’t push. Not yet, she nodded quickly, almost too quickly, before turning and hurrying into the bathroom.
I watched the door close behind her, my jaw tightening as I exhaled slowly. What was that?
I shook it off, turning to pack the rest of her things. When the door finally opened again, I looked up. And for a second I forgot how to breathe. She stood there, framed by the doorway, the soft yellow sundress clinging to her body like it was made just for her.
The color contrasted beautifully against her skin, making it glow even more. My gaze dragged slowly down her body, the way the dress hugged her waist. The way it flared slightly at her hips.
The way the fabric sat over her chest.
Perfect, absolutely perfect. I moved toward her without thinking, stopping right in front of her as my hands found her waist again, pulling her closer.
“You look so pretty, baby,” I murmured, pressing a kiss to the bridge of her nose. “My gorgeous baby.”
Her cheeks flushed instantly.
“Give me a twirl, tesoro.” She giggled softly, placing her hand in mine as I lifted it, guiding her into a slow spin.
The dress flared out gently.
And just like I thought
