For example, in the infield bidding, Serena raised the price so Maxwell got the item at 25 times the price, but he still spoke up for Serena and didn’t badmouth her.
At the end, they also jumped on the wave of female awakening and gave Roxanne a non–traditional, kind and strong character setting.
As soon as the post was sent out, it caused a sensation right away.
Netizens cried over Roxanne’s kindness.
So “Saint Roxanne” trended again.
At the same time, there were some rumors online from who knows where, saying that Serena went to a charity dinner but didn’t donate
any money.
This charity dinner had a rule: even though it was by invitation, as long as you went, you had to show some love (because there were some paintings, diaries, and stuff from sick kids, and those weren’t expensive). Otherwise, you were just there for the hype without spending a cent, and it was charity hype at that. To put it harshly, it was fake donating.
There were a few ways to give love:

spending.
Generally speaking, the bidders in the second case also took the third case into account.
Maxwell made an extra donation after he bid on two items.
Of course, it was totally fine to just donate without filming, or just film without donating extra.
If none of these three were true, then it was just pure freeloading.
But this was just a rumor, it only spread in a small circle and didn’t catch on.
More attention was on Roxanne and Maxwell.
Even when reporters at the scene published their reports later, netizens still focused on the two of them.
On Beechwood Drive in Haraville.
The Bugatti Centodieci roared past.
Roxanne in the passenger seat looked at the message on her phone, and she was pretty satisfied.
She thought, then replied to Kenneth-
“Just like that, first spread the rumor about Serena’s fake donation in a small circle, don’t let it/get too big, so it’d be easier for me to use this against Serena later.”
After she got the confirmation message from the other person, Roxanne put her phone away.

By this moment, Roxanne already had a feeling that everything was under control, and she felt like she could do anything.
She kept thinking about everything she had done these days, every step was well organized.
So, she got totally full of herself.
At this moment, the car also pulled up downstairs at Roxanne’s apartment complex.
The car stopped, but Maxwell didn’t get out right away.
Roxanne didn’t move either, just looked at him.
Maxwell paused for a moment, then took the safe that the Conway Group had sent over earlier.
Roxanne’s eyes lit up a little, and she immediately looked down so Maxwell wouldn’t notice anything.
“Maxwell also took a picture of that 6–carat pigeon blood ruby pendant. Will he give that to me too?” Roxanne thought.
Although everyone knew the auction price of that Tanzanite was 25 million, its real value was only 1 million.
Compared to that Tanzanite, Roxanne wanted a pigeon blood ruby pendant more.
Not only was it expensive, it was also ready–made, so I could just wear it out.
Of course, it was best to give her both.
But now that Maxwell had made a move, she couldn’t just do nothing.

Thinking about it, Roxanne took out her phone and was about to transfer money to Maxwell.
She was doing it while saying, “Max, I only had 1.2 million on hand right now, so I’d send this to you first. I’d figure out the rest later.”
It was this sentence, Maxwell’s thoughts were pulled back.
His fingers gently brushed over that deep blue Tanzanite, then he took out that pigeon blood ruby pendant.
“Don’t bother,” he said, then handed the pendant to Roxanne.
“But Max, we agreed before that I would buy…” Roxanne looked really anxious, like she was trying hard to prove herself. She said, “And what I wanted to buy was tanzanite, not this pigeon blood ruby.”
She paused for a moment, pushed the box a bit toward Maxwell, and refused, saying, “Max, I can’t take it, it’s too valuable.”
Maxwell didn’t look at Roxanne or the ruby pendant, he just quietly looked at the Tanzanite.
“Tanzanite was just a raw stone, not easy to wear without being made into something.”
For some reason, Maxwell told a lie.
He closed the safe: “I thought this ruby pendant suited you better.”
