“It’s just that I heard Serena was Jeremiah’s girl. I felt it was a pity, but didn’t think much about it, until Harrison dragged me to see Serena’s live show.”
“I just realized something was weird, and then, like I just told you, I slowly figured out who you were,”
It turned out it was because of that auction.
Stephanie lowered her eyes a little and watched what Lennon was doing with his hands.
“So, why did Mr. Lennon come to see me today?” she asked.
“Just call me Lennon.”
Lennon said with a smile, “First, happy divorce to you.”
“Then.” Lennon picked up the tea and handed it to Stephanie, saying, “Do
marrying me?” you want to
think abo
Stephanie looked at the cup of tea in Lennon’s hand.
The tea steam rose up, her gaze shifted upward, and she looked at him through the steam.
“Why?” Stephanie asked.
Lennon saw she didn’t take the tea and didn’t get mad, just put the cup in front of her, then poured himself another cup.
“I appreciated you.”

He looked at her seriously and said. “I like you too.”
Stephanie wasn’t moved by those words.
She had just struggled out of a failed marriage, so she wouldn’t jump into another one just because of the word “like” without thinking it through.
“I don’t understand,” Stephanie looked at Lennon and said, “You could find other women. I’m not that special.”
“No, you were one of a kind,” Lennon said.
Stephanie didn’t know how to answer.
I always felt it was weird.
“Sorry, I didn’t want to think about this right now,” Stephanie finally said.
She looked at the cup of tea on the table.
And who ever talked about getting married like that?
Just held a cup of tea.
She just got divorced, and she wanted to catch her breath first.
As for whether I would get married in the future and who I would marry, that was something for later.
She also had Belinda.
She couldn’t just think about herself.
And she had a lot of things to do, like the finals of “The Ethereal Voice.”

For example. I took this divorce agreement to a lawyer and tried to get back the old team from the Shelton Group.
Lennon looked at Stephanie. His expression didn’t change, he wasn’t angry, and he still looked gentle, making people feel warm and comfortable.
“Since you didn’t want to get married, then, do you want to think about. working together?” Lennon went on.
Stephanie raised her eyebrows a little: “What?”
“Stephanie, you got divorced, but your status was still Maxwell’s ex- wife.” Lennon’s voice was calm and persuasive. “Honestly, I thought he wanted to wait until Roxanne died and then try to get back together with you. What were you going to do then?”
“Maybe you wanted to help Jeremiah succeed, you wanted to help him rise up, but, Stephanie, that needed a process.”
“Eugene and Simon weren’t easy to deal with either.”
“You knew how strong the Humphrey Group was, and Jeremiah now couldn’t compete with him.”
“And you yourself, I knew you were great, but I had to admit, one person’s ability couldn’t go up against a whole group.”
“Even if you wanted to drag it out, how long could you really keep it up?”
Lennon said all these facts calmly.
He sure knew that bringing up marriage out of the blue would be offensive, but there were just too many people around her who liked her and wanted her. He was already way behind, so he had to boldly say what he thought.

“Sorry.” Lennon went on. “I was too abrupt just now, bringing up marriage like that.”
“But I thought you needed this kind of sheltering identity right now.”
“Not married, could be engaged, or, rumored boyfriend.”
Stephanie had been really quiet since just now, she just sat there quietly looking at the teacup on the table.
She knew Lennon was right.
“Three months.” he said. “We met at least once a week, twelve times in total, so we could
get to know each other. I didn’t force you to like me. but at least during this time, whether it was rumors or the news of our engagement after three months, it could save you a lot of trouble.”
“Of course, if after three months you still didn’t want to, then just pretend none of this ever happened.”
Stephanie looked at Lennon and watched him say all this calmly.
The room was filled with the smell of tea, and she looked at his good- looking eyes and brows.
This really was a tempting offer.
“But why?” Stephanie didn’t get it. “Just because of “liking“?”
But she didn’t even know what he liked about her.
