IN a white room that wasn’t too big, Adriel and an obstetrician were sitting opposite each other in their chairs. Adriel carefully listened to the doctor’s explanation of Hana’s condition. Before explaining, the doctor was still busy recording something on a form in front of him.
“You’re the caretaker of Mrs. Hana?” asked the doctor.
“Yes doc, she is___meaning my housemaid at home.” Adriel almost missed saying Hana was his wife.
“Where’s her husband? I need to talk to him, it’s quite a serious matter.”
Adriel paused for a moment to find an excuse that could be given to the doctor, there was no way he would confess after what he said earlier.
“Sorry doc, but she has separated from her husband, and now lives at home with another maid. Since no one was home, my sister and I immediately brought her here, we were too panicked.”
The doctor nodded in understanding.
“Look, about Mr. Hana’s condition. Currently Mr. Hana’s stomach acid has increased and it is also affecting his blood pressure, this is because Mr. Hana is experiencing stress symptoms as well. I hope you can tell him not to think too much, plus. Muscle and the fetus stiffened, that’s what made him feel so much pain.” He explained at length and Adriel nodded in understanding.
“But it doesn’t affect the development of the fetus, right? And does Hana need to stay the night?”
The doctor nodded.
“She can come home tomorrow morning when the IV runs out. That will give him some nutrition, I emphasize again. Please warn Mrs. Hana not to think too much and don’t make her work too much. Please take care of her even though she is your maid.”
Adriel smiled wryly, why did it feel weird when the doctor called Hana a maid. But isn’t it wrong for him to also call it that in front of the doctor. That’s enough. Adriel didn’t want to think about it too much.
“thank you very much doc”
“Ow yes, this is a prescription for medicine that Mrs. Hana can take and some vitamins needed for the development of the fetus. You can buy it at the pharmacy.” The doctor handed him the note he had just finished writing.
“Thank you again doc.” Adriel stood up and bowed respectfully before leaving the room, not forgetting to take the note the doctor had given him.
He walked out of the room with a tired and restless look on his face. This adds to his thoughts. Luckily he was able to get up quickly and immediately took Hana to the hospital, he looked at the note for a long time by Adriel, it turned out that he had quite a lot of medicine to pay for. But that’s okay, he thought. He rushed back to the emergency room where Hana was to again see his condition, he saw there Serran was still faithfully guarding near the ward where Hana was being treated.
“Older brother? Already?” Serran asked when he saw Adriel beside him.
“Already.” The answer is short.
“Hana sister why?”
“She’s just stressed and needs to rest a lot and eat regularly. The doctor has given me a prescription for the medicine Hana needs to take”
“Stressed?” Serran looked right at Adriel who was still standing. “I can understand why Hana sister is experiencing this.” He continued.
Adriel frowned in confusion.
“Understood what? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Nothing, I think you knows it too. But it doesn’t.” Serran turned to look at Hana’s sleeping face. Her face was still pale, Hana’s condition was only known by Serran and Adriel. Because when the two of them came out, the house was quiet, everyone was asleep.
Adriel who didn’t get a definite answer from his brother could only stay silent, he rubbed his face slowly and he put Hana’s medicine note on a small nightstand near the ward, he almost sat on the chair provided but he stopped when his cell phone rang because there was a incoming call.
His face suddenly confused as he looked at the person’s name listed on his cell phone.
“Vania”
Adriel glanced at Serran first, watching his younger brother who was also busy with his cell phone. He finally moved away from his sister a little so that his conversation could not be heard.
Pip
“Hello.”
“ Hello dear? Good thing you answered.”
“Why?”
“I’m in Korea now, I’ve arrived at the airport.”
DEG
Wait, why did Vania come back so fast? Won’t Vania be back at the end of the month? This is too fast. Adriel looked at Hana’s ward, he was still asleep and Serran was still there.
“Really? Why so fast, don’t you think you’ll be home at the end of the month, right?” he asked trying to be reassuring.
“I’m serious, and now I’m at the airport. If you want, you can come to my apartment. I want to see you Adriel”
There was no answer from Adriel, he was still thinking. He had to see for himself and confirm. Doesn’t he also miss Vania a lot, after all Hana has been taken care of by Serran right? So it’s okay if he’s gone for just a little while. It’s better for him to go than to stay here.
“Is it okay if I come over to your apartment at this time of night?”
“It’s okay, I miss you so much. Don’t you want Adriel? My manager won’t come anyway.” Sulked Mina on the other end of the phone.
“Of course I will, call me when you get to the apartment. I’ll be there, but I won’t be long. Because it’s very late.”
“Yes, i will wait for you”
“I love you”
“I Love you too, Adriel.”
Pip
The phone hung up, he walked over to Hana’s ward to tell Serran that he was going away for a while.
“Serran.” Adriel patted his brother’s shoulder lightly.
“What is it?”
“Can you look after Hana for a while? A client called me suddenly. This is very important. So I leave Hana to you.”
“What? Are you kidding hyung? What if something happens, can’t you just shut up? She’s your wife.”
“Shhhhhhh please. It’s in a public place, what if someone overhears. I’m just going away for a while, I’ll be back quickly.”
Adriel patted his younger brother’s shoulder then left the emergency room, he didn’t even pay attention to Serran’s call to him. He’s only going to be gone for a while, after all.
