Kent went home with a tiger's face. He was furious to find out how Eloisa managed to betray him and keep a secret.
She had a lot of excuses to explain. Now that he knew everything about her bad intentions to Lucy and him, he won't let it slide.
"Eloisa! Where are you? Let us talk!” Kent's roaring voice echoed inside the mansion.
He went inside their room but there's no sign of Eloisa. He looks for Austin, but he was not inside his room. He started to feel nervous. What if Eloisa found out that Greta was Lucy? What if Gale told her the truth?
Kent went to her office, but it was locked. He went to their basement to find a hammer to destroy it. He felt relieved when the door swung open. He quickly went inside, hoping to find any evidence or information about her dirty business. He also wanted to confirm if their marriage and adoption paper for Austin are all fabricated.
He first checks the bookshelves to find an answer.
“Come on. I know there is something in her office." He uttered while hoping to find anything.
He felt lost after one hour of searching until he finally decided to quit.
"I think she hides it somewhere!” he added.
His eyes roamed again for the last time. He checks her drawer again but nothing there. He looked up and saw a picture of Eloisa. Nothing registered to his mind while looking at it until he walked over to get a closer look.
Kent POV
I just realized that her picture frame was not just a frame, but a part of the wall.
I look for a way to open it until I realize that I can slide the frame, and it works. There's no lock since she made the frame itself sealed.
My eyes widened to see a pile of documents, pictures of Lucy and her dad Raphael and several mobile phones. I took them out. I can't believe that she was busy doing her dirty little secrets without telling me. I was like a foolish husband to believe in everything she said. I now realized that I became her puppet for many years and without Lucy, I didn't have the chance to find how evil my fake wife was.
I crouch on the floor and saw Gregory's gruesome photo. My body shivered in shock. I feel like I am looking at the photo of a dead pig. Why Eloisa had a photo of Gregory's dead body? Why then keep it here?
I saw the rope, bonnet, creepy mask, black raincoat, and a sharp knife here. There's more, I saw a gun inside the plastic with a bullet outside.
“What the hell this thing doing here?” I mumbled.
I took them all and decided to keep them. I quickly put them on the empty garbage bag and put back the frame in its proper position. I quickly made my way to my car to hide them. I was stunned to see Eloisa and Austin coming my way. I didn't see them at the harden So how come they're only here around the house.
"Daddy! I miss you." Austin shouted as he runs closer.
I saw Eloisa's crumpled face. Maybe she's mad because I didn't come home last night.
“Dilan, get inside. Daddy and mommy will come after!” she told Austin and she quickly ran back inside the house.
Eloisa's sharp eyes seem like fire inside my soul. I feel relieved she didn't saw me holding a garbage bag in my hands.
"Where did you sleep last night?” her voice growled like a tiger.
I feel anxious and terrified but that was a long time ago. I don't care if my dad had a huge debt to them. It's time to reveal what kind of a businessman Mr. Sherlock is. I just keep my mouth shut to protect my father and our family's reputation but maybe it's time for me to be a man. It's time for me to stand on my own. I will not let anyone dictate to me what to do. For Lucy and our son Austin, I will end their miseries and Eloisa's wrongdoings.
I raised my brows like I don't care about her.
“I can do whatever I want just like you. Tell me, my dear Eloisa, where are you yesterday noon?” I asked her the same question.
She started to shift her eyes away from me to find an alibi.
"I was at dad's office, right? When you left, I stayed until evening!” she told me her alibi.
I can't believe that she's still telling an untruth even I had proof.
“Really? How about this one?” I said while showing her my phone with their pictures outside the motel until they walked inside like a newlywed couple.
Her eyes widened and she quickly grabs my phone.
"How did you get this? Are you stalking me? It's just a misunderstanding, honey. We just need to talk! Wait, how about you? Gale called me last night and he asked me if Greta was here, and I said no. Don't tell me you were together last night? We're the same!”
I clenched my fist when she destroyed my phone.
"What are you—hey! Eloisa, stop it! There's no point since I made a copy of it." I sneered.
She became more furious. She walked closer and slapped me.
"How dare you! Besides, I found out recently that our marriage was fake! Why you did it? Because you want to marry Gale?” I said while holding my anger inside me.
I was surprised when she kneeled in front of me.
“Please, Kent, forgive me. I just did it because I'm not ready to be married. It's my fault. We can marry again as a real couple!” she wanted me to forgive her.
I pushed her away.
"No! You know what I knew about you, you fake the adoption paper about our son! Why did you do it? What other secrets do you keep? Did you kill Gregory?” I asked her since I saw his pictures at her secret cabinet.
She immediately shook her head, but I can see how she got scared after hearing it.
“No, I didn't kill him! Why would I? Are you blaming me? He killed himself!” she said.
I just listened to her. I will check it later about the truth. I don't know yet what she did back then.
"Yeah, that was on the report, but I will find a way to tell the police that he was murdered, and he didn't kill himself. I will find his killer." I said and Eloisa seemed trembling.
She holds my arms tightly.
"Tell me, did you sleep with Greta?” she asked me again.
I smirk. She started to go crazy. I know her. What she wants, she gets. She didn't want to let others take what she owned, and she was thinking I am her property.
“She's not Lucy! Lucy's dead! She died!” she screamed outside the house.
I saw Austin staring at us at his room window. I smiled at him and sign to play. He looks sad and I feel sorry for our son. Lucy misses him so badly. A little bit of waiting and soon, she will be reunited with our son Austin.
I turned to Eloisa. She looks awful. I quickly grab her arms and grip them. How can she say that Lucy has died when I just found out that Gale's wife Greta was Lucy?
"What did you say? Lucy's dead?” I want to confirm it and laughed at her.
She looks surprised, which is why I chuckled.
"The report said that she disappeared, and someone killed her after she was discharged from the prison. I just saw it on TV. I kept it since I don't want you to feel guilty for fooling her all along." She made an alibi again.
I pushed her away and she stumbled on the ground.
"You're wrong! Lucy's alive and she was your lover's wife!” I revealed to her the truth and her jaws dropped in shock.
