Chapter 242: A pups are growing up fast

Olivia rolled her eyes first, then she looked at me.

"Aiden is fine." She said, but this time I could feel she was angry.

"Olivia, please understand me. I experienced how it is to be captured by them, and I am worrying about Aiden. They clearly told me that they want him."

"Asher. That is impossible. Aiden has Flint as well, and he also has all of us. Not just you and me, but the entire community is behind him. Please, calm down." She said, but I didn't want to leave it.

"Olivia, you don't know who is out there who works with them. Someone is inside the community who gives them information."

She looked at me suddenly and sighed again.

"Asher, I told you. Irene got threatened, but that is all. No one wants to harm Aiden there."

"I am a doctor, and you are a doctor as well. Maybe I am not as experienced as you, but you are just as experienced as Walter. Have you ever thought about why he wants to keep us here?"

This time, what I said made her angry, really, and I didn't like that at all.

"Asher, don't say that now you think Walter is working for them!" She tried to keep herself quiet. Even if we both knew if Aiden wanted to hear our argument, he would listen to it.

"Olivia, there is no reason for him to keep us here, and you know that as well."

Olivia started laughing, but was not happy at all.

"Walter would harm no one." She sighed. "He lived alone for so many years, and in the last few years, that changed. He had me and Aiden around, and I guess it is just hard for him. After we have gone, he would need to get used to living alone again. That is hard, Asher. You don't know what it feels like, but I do."

I only stared at her. I understood this side, and I know what she was talking about. I remembered how she used to live in an empty flat when I got to know her. However, that didn't make me feel sorry for Walter, and that didn't give me an explanation of why he wanted to keep us there so badly.

"Okay, if that is the reason, he can come and visit us in the pack often. How is that?"

"Asher, you know it isn't so simple. The pack is far from here, and he has a duty in the hospital."

"There are other doctors and scientists working there as well. I don't think he would be so important there, so the hospital would stop working in his absence."

"No, probably not, but he is an important part of the community, and he can't move freely whenever he wants to."

"Can you stop, please?" We both looked at the direction of the door, and listened to Aiden, who appeared suddenly in the room. "I hate to hear that you two are arguing, especially if it's about me."

I felt embarrassed a little, and I could see Olivia's expression showed that she felt the same.

"Honey, we aren't arguing. We are just having a conversation." Olivia said, but Aiden shook his head.

"No, you two were arguing. Dad is worrying about me, and suspects that Walter is helping them to take me, and you think it is impossible. Dad hates that you are defending Walter so much, as he thinks he wants to keep us here because he is in love with you, mum. So you are arguing."

My eyes widened while I listened to my nearly four years old son, who just clearly said problems out.

"Are you jealous, Asher?" Olivia turned to me with a frown.

I lowered my head for a second.

"Yes, if you want to know. I am jealous, but that isn't the only reason I want to be far from here. Aiden was right. I am worrying about him as well."

Olivia shook her head, and she moved close to me. She sat down next to me and she stared at me for a few seconds.

"Asher, we talked about it already. We are a family, and we will go back home soon. I just want you to heal properly. You know how much pain you can suffer from if your bones don't heal properly. Just think about your future."

Aiden moved to us as well, and he sat down as well.

"Dad, mum loves you, more than you think. I like Walter. He has been a part of my life since I was born. Therefore, I don't think he could harm me. On the contrary, I think he would do everything for me, just like you."

I sighed. I couldn't believe that I had got to this situation. However, even if Aiden and Olivia weren't in the same opinion as I was, I couldn't change my mind.

"Olivia, would you let me speak to Xavier please?"

Olivia frowned first, but then she got her mobile phone out of her pocket.

"You will need a phone." She mentioned before she handed me hers.

I only had a small smile on my face. "Would you two live me alone?"

They glanced at each other, then with a sight, both of them stood up and left the room. I had a question, but I wasn't sure Xavier could answer me that, so I thought about calling William as well. I dialled Xavier's number, and soon the call had been connected.

"Olivia? How can I help?" I heard his deep voice.

"It is Asher." I said.

"Oh, how are you, Asher?"

"I am getting there. I feel much better. I'm home now."

"I am glad to hear that. How can I help you?"

"Xavier, I know the betas of the Blue Moon Pack had been accepted by you. There were two young betas called Liam and Graham. I believe they left my pack with their parents. What do you know about them?"
