Chapter 69 No saviour for her?

Chapter 69 No saviour for her?
69\. No saviour for her?

Alpha Damien's forehead creased as he peered up in the sky at the clear gray clouds. There was no sight of the moon visible. Sky was just like his life. Empty without his moon, his Aura.

The crimson tiredness of his eyes seem to intensify. He was totally exhausted and frustrated from within; and to top his fury, his guards have still not been able to trace Aura's whereabouts.

Every call he received, every message that dropped by, every person that met him by the four-way circle he was standing at with his car, he just got one answer— She was still not located.

"Damn it!" With anger and fear inclining, he slapped the hood of his car as he glared at a guard standing across him totally terrified. "Do I employ you for nothing? You can't even find out where my Aura is."

The guard lowered his head. "Apologies, Alpha. We have checked all possible CCTV footage but can't seem to find out where must have Ms. Collins gone. We are trying to search accurately around the area where she was last spotted in the footage." He answered honestly.

Woefully the cinder in Alpha's eyes darkened and his shoulders shuddered. He wished to move backwards but his glares glued him down.

"Fck before I snap your bloody eyes out." Damien shrieked. "Do not show me your face— any of you unless you have gotten her location."

The guard scurried out of his sight. Loneliness filled him completely as he slumped by the hood with his sadness increasing. His eyes burned and melted. He didn't care to wipe his cheeks as the silver traces lined his cheeks.

"Where are you Aura?" Damien uttered, guilt lacing his broken trembling voice.

The anxiety and sliver of tension escalated as it coursed through him harder. He didn't care about the world or his title any more. He didn't care about anything except for them.

This night was growing darker and longer. Longer than expected as every second that ticked felt like an hour. With the menacing winds filling him more with dread, Alpha Damien composed his breathing.

He just could not sit here and think about her or rely on his useless employees. He pressed his disheveled hair back and after heaving a heavy sigh, he reached for the door of the driver's seat.

"Damien," He was about to adjust himself inside when a familiar voice rang at his back.

Damien's heart shrunk when he noticed the owner. "Rosario?" He was approaching him, looking totally freaked out.

"You fired Aurora?" That muscle ticking at his jaw portrayed his disappointment.

Damien can see he was aware of the whole matter. He also smelt somewhat of old bones and hair — like Madam Martha. It didn't take him long to comprehend that this French guy had been to his mansion before he hunted down his location.

"How the hell could you, Damien? She loved you so much." Rosario's voice made him look away.

For the first time in life Damien felt himself inferior in front of this mortal being. Having seen through Aura's heart, he became the best man in her life whereas Damien, being her lover, could not look through her feelings. He failed to see her attempts and her loyalty. He was ashamed. So very ashamed that he turned around unwilling to meet Rosario's gaze.

"I had made it clear to you there is nothing between her and I. How could you still doubt her sanity, Damien? What the fuck happened to your wolf senses? Didn't your beast help you glance through her innocence?" His words sting.

Impact of his bitterness stabbed through the Alpha's heart right at that spot he had hidden his feelings forever.

"Look at me, Alpha Damien." Rosario forcibly turned him around so they were face to face.

The exasperation in his eyes somewhat faltered when he observed Damien's face. With no uncertainty involved, he can see he was grieving. He was burning deep down. Rosario pitied him but he resumed with his outpour. He wanted to knock some real senses in his brains and make him realize his mistakes even more.

"How could you?" He punched the words out, pulsating anger coming with them.

It made Damien look straight in his eyes. He took a shallow breath and gritted. This freaking mortal seemed suddenly better than him. Because he knew more about Aurora.

"Help me find her or take your a$$ somewhere else." His heavy voice cracked. "I know my faults and I am regretting enough already. You have no idea what's going on inside of me."

Rosario let out a breathy laugh. Indeed he can see his remorse which is why he chose to trigger it more.

"You don't deserve her." No sooner did it escape Rosario's mouth than Damien caught his neck and shoved him in his car like a madman.

Damien let go only when he smelled blood and his choking cries. Having gone backwards, he snarled, "I very much deserve her and I'll take her home to where she belongs with me. Do not ever think that you get a chance at having her or my baby. They will go back home... Their home."

"I... I..." Rosario laughed between his heavy respiration as he held the back of his bleeding head. "You beasts are all dumb in head. When would you get it Damien there is nothing I feel for Aura like a lover!"

Damien growled and advanced ahead to grab his collars. He was stopped by a call he received from his beta Brian.

"Yes, Brian?" Even if it didn't feel like he excused himself.

"Damien, we've found Aurora's location."

"You did?" His anger was replaced with consciousness and bright hope of being able to see her again.

"Yes, Damien. You are closer to her. I've forwarded you her location, go get her." Brian said.

"This is not a joke, is this?"

"Hell, no! Go get her, scumbag alpha. Don't you dare waste more time."

"Yes... Yes... I will. I will get my Aura and our baby back." He hung up.

Rosario gathered himself and walked behind Damien. He could infer there was good news just by the sound of his voice.

"Found her?"

"Yes," Damien answered with watering eyes. "And I am going to bring her home."

"Why don't you give in, sweet sweet Aurora? Your baby can't escape me if you don't yield to my desires." Aurora had pushed him away and now tried to make a big distance from him.

Though there was no chance of getting away from him, she was hopeful that creating distance would give some time to God to help her out of this mess. If not Damien then she was praying someone else could come save her baby and herself.

She didn't really expect him but still a part of her— the growing part within her body that was the baby was making her pray that he would at least come and save her for the sake of their child if not for her.

She was in her thoughts when Peter grabbed her elbow. She literally jumped and helped with tears of helplessness trailing their way down her cheekbones.

"There is no savior coming, Aurora. Let alone the alpha himself." He shuddered her by reading her mind.
