Chapter 51 Some moments of love before a storm (A)

Chapter 51 Some moments of love before a storm (A)
51\. Some moments of love before a storm (A)

The drive to the date venue was heavenly. Though it was tranquil, the warmth transmitting to her fingers intertwined with him felt surreal.

In no time they reached the destination. Damien halted the car and went out, making haste all the way to her side, in order to open the door for her.

He forwarded his hand and she placed her tickling one in his. Carefully he guided her out, ensuring that neither her gown stuck anywhere in the car or her stilettos slipped. The sweet smile he's been wearing on his face wasn't leaving his lips even for a second.

"Tonight I'm all yours ma'am." He made her heart flutter as he spoke into her ear, making her blush amidst nervousness.

"Err, Aura, wait here for a second. I'll just come!" Saying that, he ran in the opposite direction, leaving her confused.

Never minding him, Aura occupied herself with the beauty of the surrounding. It was stunning.

It was a perfect evening at the beach side.Cool breeze, sound of rustling waves, a twinkling sky and her excited heart beats. It felt like heaven on earth.

"Hey, sorry for keeping you waiting, love." Damien came back with a smirking smile playing on his lips.

He came back to her and caged her waist.

"So, are you ready for a surprise?" He hushed near her ear, raising heart beats.

Aurora looked into his eyes and nodded in a yes.

"Let's go then." With love he held her hand tightly with their fingers intertwined and led her ahead.

After a few minutes walk they reached a beautiful place leading them to their lovely night.

Aurora was mesmerized seeing the heavenly place right in front of her eyes. Her flabbergasted jaw dropped.

Her eyes set agape and heartbeat skipped and her legs froze. It was too beautiful to be real. The place was all decorated with bright fairy lights brightening their way further. There was a frame set up on the beach in the middle with a table for two laden with a wine bottle and two glasses. The open view of the sea at front rustled with playful waves while the twinkling stars smiled down at them.

Aurora couldn't imagine having a date in a place like this even in her best dreams. But here he was making her live it. Her Damien was making her live this beautiful night.

"You like it?" His eyes found hers.

Instead of a reply she pressed her mouth on his. Her hands caressed his nape. She sucked his lips gratefully while he let her show how cheerful she was. This was the best date any lover could organize for his lady. How can Aura not be happy with this? She was more than just happy as she loved it.

When they parted, he squeezed her waist thus making a current of ecstasy shudder her.

"Make yourself habitual, love. Because I am willing to organize such dinner dates for you frequently from here forth." He said, the glint in his warm eyes was sensed by her.

"Thank you, Damien."

"Oh no, cupcake, you aren't saying that again. Just feel my love." A finger of his right hand pressed on her shaking lips.

Aura can't help but stare at him in utter disbelief. She must have done something incomparable in her previous life which is why she managed to get such a loveable and caring partner like him. Just look at the happiness on his cheeks glistening like a deep blush.

The thought of his amused look over the disclosure of her pregnancy news made her smile bright. She was looking forward to this memorable night since it was going to grow more memorable when she told him about their baby.

"Shall we move on?"

"Yes." Her prompt soft reply creased the corner of his mouth with a cute grin.

They ambled further, stepping in the warm soft sand. Damien urged her to take her stilettos off and feel the warmth of sand.

"It's so soft… and ticklish." Aura happily chirped as she sunk her feet deep in the sand while Damien took her shoes in his free hand.

He acknowledged her delight with an honored grin, "I'm glad you do."

It was annoying. His wolf didn't like the soft touch of her hand slipping out of his palm, but alpha Damien had to let her hand go so that he could take out the flower he had placed in the inside pocket of his coat.

He bought it for her on the way to the Manor as he didn't have any time to buy anything else. She was playing with sand with her feet when he slowly got hold of her elbow and turned her around.

"A beautiful flower for the beautiful lady of my life." Bowing respectfully for his lady, Alpha Damien forwarded it to her.

His contentment hit the top of the graph as he saw her face burst into a beam of pleasure and excitement. "...." Speechless, Aurora accepted his flower not before holding his nape and imprinting a kiss on his left cheek.

For heaven's sake, this man was getting more romantic than ever anticipated. Aurora felt like losing her head, heart and senses at his ways of impressing her. He was leaving no chance to bewitch her with back to back surprises.

And that grateful smile… God! It felt as if her happiness amplified his contentment. As if his sole pleasure lied in her delight.

"Without wasting any more time, let's go. I know you are hungry." His wink made her look away.

She was indeed hungry. The whole day she procrastinated about their date and how she would disclose her pregnancy to him. Aurora sent back the servants who came to her with food. It was her good luck that Madam Martha was not home since morning due to some reasons, or else she would have had it from her for skipping her meal.

Each and every second of this night was memorable. From the moment she stepped out of the Manor to this, everything was just so elegant that Aura can't help but gasp. She can never think of having a date like this. A night like this.

"Let me." She was preparing to settle in one of the two chairs to sit when Damien took her hand, stopping her.

Like a gentleman, he pulled the chair for her and adjusted it once Aura had settled in.

"Thank you." It instantly came out of her lips, only to earn a glare from him.

"I think I made myself clear about no thank you and formalities, didn't I?" Aura wanted to protest him.

There was no way she could stop herself from acknowledging his efforts. But before she so much as uttered a word, he pecked her lips. Making himself comfortable in the opposite chair, Damien reached for the bottle of champagne, beginning to get started with the night.

Night that was no less than a dark night. A night that was not going to bring them closer— but only push them apart.
