Piper rebelled a little, as Luther dragged Johan towards the housepack. As if I was going to kill her brother today. Maybe because Piper had learned a little about shifters, including the housepack.

Piper's breath hitched, as fear shone from her eyes. "Go back to your room! I'll come to you tonight," I said.

Piper's irises trembled, as did the heartbeat that was created between us. I still needed time to think about everything. All the truths that I had just heard from Karin.
