HIRAM'S POV:
Seeing June in my house is like a dream come true. I thought I had lost her, and I was about to text her, letting her know I would be leaving town so she could have her peace. It isn't the best thing for me, but I know I have to focus on my family too. My dad's funeral is to be held this week, and I had to be with my family.
"Wh… what are you doing here?" I ask, and she turns to face me completely. Her face is as beautiful as ever, and I want to rush up to her. I want to hold her in my arms and kiss her, apologizing for how things went down the last time, but I fear she doesn't feel the same. Perhaps she is here because she wants to take her things.
"I missed you." My heart skips a beat as soon as the words leave her mouth, and I do not hesitate. I rush up to her, grabbing her and pulling her into a hug.
Her arms wrap around me tightly, and I press her into my body, not wanting to let go. I missed her so much, and over the past few days, I felt like I had been floating away. Each day I wake, I am tempted to text her, but I couldn't because she stated she wanted to move on, and I wanted to give her the space she desired.
"I am sorry," I say as I pull away from her, then she reaches for my face.
Feeling her palm against my skin makes every nerve in my body come alive. The weight in my chest suddenly vanishes, and I do not want to let her go. She gets on her tiptoes, and I lean in at once, taking her lips in mine.
The moment my lips touch hers, it's as though the entire world stops spinning. Her kiss is soft and warm, making my knees weak. I pull her closer, my hands sliding around her waist, anchoring her to me as her lips mold perfectly against mine. Her sweet and familiar taste is overwhelming. It feels like coming home after being lost in a storm. Five days without her had felt like an eternity, and now, every second we've spent apart melts away in the heat of her touch.
June's fingers thread through my hair, pulling me deeper into the kiss. My heart pounds against my ribcage, matching the fire spreading through my veins. I tilt my head, deepening the kiss, and a soft sigh escapes her lips, sending a shiver down my spine. I've kissed her before, but this is different. This kiss is desperation, apology, and love all woven into one. It's the release of every pent-up emotion I've carried since the day I thought I'd lost her. When we finally pull apart, both of us are breathless. Her cheeks are flushed, and her lips slightly swollen. Her eyes hold a softness that makes me want to pull her back into my arms, and I do. I lift her up with ease, and she wraps her legs around my waist with her hands, roaming around my neck as we meet in a brief kiss again before I place her on the sofa.
Her body feels soft beneath me. Her skin is warm, almost burning, as my hands glide over her. As my hands trail around her body, I feel my core tightening, and I feel the need to lose control. I want every part of her.
I let my lips trail lower, over the delicate curve of her collarbone, savoring the way she shivers as my tongue traces her skin. Her chest rises and falls in uneven breaths, her hands finding my back with her nails scraping lightly against my skin. The sensation is soothing, and I want nothing more than to be in her. To be merged with her forever. My hands find the hem of her skirt, lifting it enough.
Then I reach for her panties, pulling them off her legs before taking off my pants. My hips shift against hers, aligning perfectly as I press myself into her. The warmth of her core welcomes me, driving multiple emotions through. I groan with her name, leaving my lips as I push in further, moving slowly. The friction is consuming. Her body reacts immediately as her thighs tighten around my waist. Her motion, the way her body curves and the way her head falls back as I move in her, is everything I need to see.
Her sound comes out as a soft, broken moan, sending a thrill through me as I pound into her. I increase my pace, and her moan keeps breaking through the air as her walls stretch to accommodate me further. Suddenly she pulls at me, and I lower my face to her, allowing our faces to meet. She takes my lips while I glide my hand into her shirt, cupping her breasts in my hand, fondling them slightly as a gasp escapes her perfect lips, falling into my mouth. Her rhythm matches mine as she moves her body back and forth underneath me.
"god, Hiram!" Her moan comes out as she tightens her grip on me, increasing her pace. I get what she needs at once, and I increase my pace, pounding into her with force. The rhythm between us becomes more urgent, and the pressure building in us pulls us closer to our release.
I gasp and grunt as I feel myself approaching climax, then my hands search for her clit, and I stroke it gently, watching her body dance beneath me as her eyes roll backward. Her pussy muscles tighten around my cock, and in no time, her legs are shaking beneath me. I reach my climax too, pulling out of her.
**
June lies on my body for a while before she pulls away, getting to her feet. Then she hurriedly throws her clothes on, causing me to sit up. Before I can speak, she does.
"When were you going to tell me?" she asks, and I stare at her, puzzled.
"Tell you what?" I question, and she scoffs, folding her arms across her chest.
My heart skips a beat, and I pray we are not about to get into another argument.
"When were you going to tell me about your identity, Hiram Howler?" My blood runs cold as she pronounces my last name.
