Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Cheryl's Point of View

I watched as Lilian walked to her room and let out a sigh. Everything was a complete mess. It was all that bitch Eliana's fault. I knew I never should have let that bitch go to the Enchanted Academy. I knew I should have made her stay here and be my slave. Now, Charles and I were under investigation. There was a huge chance that we would get our titles taken away from us. I hated how all the other top-ranked beings looked at us now. They looked at us like we were nothing. I knew they felt bad for Eliana. I knew I had to fix this. I picked up my cell and called my sister Lila.

"I was wondering when you were going to call me," Lila said

"We need to meet," I said

"I know," Lila replied

"Meet me at the usual spot," I said, and I ended the call.

I put on my coat and left. I made it to the lake, where my sister Lila was already waiting for me

"Really?" I replied sarcastically

"I told you that this wasn't going to go the way you wanted. You wanted too much. You should have left after getting pregnant. You already got away with killing Charles, mate. I told you it was a bad idea to stay with him. You should have left after getting pregnant, but you were too greedy. You could have just used the baby to get money out of him, but you wanted to become the human leader's wife," Lila said

"I am the human leader's wife," I screamed

"Well, he won't be the human leader for long. Not after what he did to King Syrus's daughter. After what both of you did to his daughter," Lila screamed back at me, and I glared at her. I knew she was right. I was about to lose everything, and it was that bitch Eliana's fault. I still couldn't believe she was King Syrus's daughter. She was a weak little bitch who was supposed to be my slave.

"Not only is she King Syrus's daughter, but she is also Prince Killian's fated mate. You fucked up big time. You are on your own now," Lila said

"Don't act like you didn't help me. If I remember correctly, you were the one who gave me the idea to drug Charles and sleep with him so that I could get pregnant with his baby," I said

"Yeah, but I never told you to kill his wife. It was your idea to give the drugs that would kill her when she gave birth," Lila said. That was true. I was the one who changed her prenatal pills for a poison that would make her too weak to give birth. I was shocked when she started to get better and even made it through labor. I wasn't going to let her win. I put a drug in her IV the night Eliana was born, causing her to die in her sleep. Charles believed she died from childbirth and blamed Eliana ever since. At first, he wanted to give her away, but I told him that wasn't a good idea. He was the human ruler, and that would look bad if he abandoned her. So, instead, we made her life a living hell.

"What's done is done. Now we have to figure out how to keep everything hidden. I can't let Charles discover that I had something to do with Tina's death, and I need to make sure he stays ruler of the humans," I said

"Good luck with that," Lila said

"As I said before, you are a part of this, too. If I go down, I am taking you with me," I said

"The only thing that we can do is run," Lila said

"I am not running," I replied

"Did you forget that our real leader is King Syrus, or have you been living as a human for so long that you forgot you are not one of them?" Lila asked

She was right, I was a witch. My sister and I grew up close to Tina, Eliana's mom. I hated her. We were in the same class, and she always scored better than I did. Everyone loved her. The teachers said that she was born to do great things. After we graduated, I didn't see her. She ended up getting into a great school, while I was stuck working as a maid at King Syrus's castle. I decided to leave the castle, and I ran into Tina. She was pregnant and married to Charles. I learned they were fated mates, and that pissed me off. Why did she get everything? It wasn't fair. At that moment, I decided that I would take everything from her, and I did.

Before I could speak, someone gasped. I turned and saw Lilian standing there

"What are you doing here, Lilian?"
