Chapter 160
Elena:
I watched as the bedroom door opened, and though I knew that it wasn’t Vladimir, I knew not to fear who was to come in.
However, when I saw that it was Konstantin, I couldn’t help but find myself sucking in a harsh breath as he walked toward me. His stance was calm, and his eyes, which were stripping me without needing me to move, made me more and more uncomfortable. But I knew better than to move right now. I just kept looking down at my feet.
“I take it that he has made you grow more confident.” He said, his tone more sarcastic than it had ever been. “You even opened your mouth to speak.”
I didn’t respond as my heart raced against my chest. He took another step closer, and putting a finger under my chin, he forced my eyes on his. “I am keen about the way that he’s done it. You seem to have grown a habit of being stubborn when it comes to being with me, and…”
“Please do not hurt me,” I begged, and he chuckled.
“Ah, so the cat has finally let your tongue go.” He said, pushing my face aside. I took a step back as I watched him walk toward Vladimir’s bed. He sat on the edge of it and nodded, calling me to sit. I hesitated for a second, but I wasn’t dumb, my week with Vladimir wasn’t going to change the years of torment that I had to deal with when it came to the man.
I sat down, looking down at my lap as I did.
“I will not hurt you. I need you intact to keep him grounded. As you may know, he now has something to come back to, and I am not foolish enough to ruin that pretty face of yours when he requests to see it.” He said, making me gulp. It was often like that when he had an event. He wouldn’t hurt my face, but the rest of my body, he did whatever he wanted to it, and that included his men who he would allow to take turns on my body without bothering to care about how I felt about it. “I came to give you a notice that he is going to be out for a week, and I think that you know what that means.”
“What do you want me to do?” I asked, and he chuckled, shaking his head at me.
“For now, nothing.” He said, giving me a cold smirk. “I have grown tired of you long ago, and I am more curious to see how you are going to please my nephew.”
“Your nephew is nothing like you, I do hope that you understand that.” I said, and he chuckled. I knew that talking back at him wasn’t the wisest thing that I did, but I couldn’t help but find myself wanting to take the risk. I didn’t know the consequences that I should expect afterwards, but I knew that defending the man who showed me mercy up until today, was something that I wanted to do.
“I am impressed by the progress that you have made being with him. I have to admit, I did expect it to take a lot longer for you to speak. But then again, I was always very gentle to you, wasn’t I?” He asked, mocking me. I took a deep breath, not saying a word for a few seconds before shaking my head. “Must I remind you of the day that I took you? I could have broken every bone in your body, but I merely watched you scream as you bled while I took your virginity.”
“Stop,” I said, and he scoffed, shaking his head at me.
“Don’t worry, little dove.” He said, making my stomach churn at the nickname. It was one that was given to me by my music teacher. I was a good dancer and both her and my dance teacher often called me a dove as I moved with the music as a bird would in the air. My heart raced against my chest at the harsh memory, the memory of him taking me on the best day of my life. I was more than happy and excited to have been accepted as the representative of my dance school. Little did I know that I was never going to be able to live through the dreams and potentials that I had. “Vladimir doesn’t want a hair on you harmed and I know not to be stupid enough to risk you telling him that I hurt you.”
“Why are you doing this to me?” I asked, shaking my head. “What did I do to you?”
“No one messes with a Pakhan and gets away with it, Elena.” He said, his voice hardening. “And your parents dared mess with and take me for a fool. I gave them ten years to return their debt and instead of doing so, they took you and your newborn sister at the time and left. I was kind enough to wait till you were eighteen, but even I had my patience span.”
“They made the mistake, why did I have to suffer the consequences?” I asked, voicing out what has always gone through my head. The night where the man took me was the worst. I remember being so scared that I pissed myself twice when he would enter my room. He would laugh at me, but he didn’t care, he would grab my throat and take me in ways that were so savage that I felt like my body would crumble in his arms.
“This is the dark world that we live in,” he said, getting up from the edge of the bed. “You were just protected enough not to see it. But then again, I think that you learned your lesson well enough.”
“But now, I know that I gave my nephew a bitch that has not only been used by other men, but has pleased them.” He said, making me hold my breath. “At least I would know that you are going to know how to please him. And considering how protective he is, I doubt that you have been an unpleasant experience. But then again, a werewolf like himself would always be satisfied with a woman with more energy. I might have to replace you with one in the end after all.”
“What?” I asked, and he scoffed.
“It seems to me that you are yet to get to that part,” he said, opening the bedroom door. “Beware of the full moon. He shifts, and believe me, I wouldn’t want to be in the same room when he does…”
