~Celine~
After I said those words, I broke down in tears. It was really over. I would never be with Alpha Kilhan again. While I wept quietly in my room, I heard a knock on my door.
“Hey, Celine. It’s Ethan.” He said as he knocked on the door.
“Go away. I want to be alone.” I mumbled, covering my head with my pillow.
“I’m sorry, okay? I just couldn’t help the fact that you still want to be with him when he rejected you and probably hates you.” I heard him say from under the pillow where my head was tucked.
His words spiked up anger in me and I jumped out of bed and stormed to the door. Opening the door ajar, I came face to face with him.
“That was my choice to make, not yours! You don’t know anything about him. How can you know he hates me, hun?” I poked his chest as I kept crying with my head lowered.
“I know Alpha Kilhan, Celine. He isn’t just anyone. He’s well known, and one thing I’ve always known is that he’s always been for the streets. He sleeps with any woman, any day, anytime.”
“That was before he met me! He stopped all that immediately he was bound to me!” I defended him, even though I was hurt.
“But he rejected you and threw you out, didn’t he? When you needed him the most! He threw you out, with his child inside of you! Who would be so cruel to do such a thing? He doesn’t deserve you, Celine.
“And I’m sorry it hurts so much, but I won’t let you stay connected to someone like that. You deserve better.” He responded. He placed his hand under my chin and raised my head to look at him.
“I love you, Celine, and that’s all that matters. I don’t care if you’re still in love with that a**hole. I’ll be right here with you until you love me again.” He uttered in a low tone, cleaning off my tears with his thumb.
I sniffed, staring into his eyes as he spoke. I knew he was going to do whatever he said, but…
Loving him again?
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Ethan furrowed his brows and turned to look at the door. His hands slowly slipped off my face.
“Who is it?” I mumbled, cleaning my eyes.
“I’m not sure. No one except my Alpha and Pack have the address. Except…”
My heart skipped a beat as the knock hit the door again, this time, louder and more desperate than before.
“Go into your room, Celine,” Ethan uttered, using his hand to slightly push me into the room.
With my heart racing, I rushed into the room and closed the door, leaving it slightly open so I could peep through.
“Are you not supposed to be hiding?” Kiara asked.
“I want to know who it is, okay? And leaving Ethan all alone is wicked.”
“Like you have the power to hurt anyone. Shut the door, girl!”
“Shhhh!”
I went on my knees in front of the door and continued peeping. I watched Ethan slowly walk towards the door. His ears were stuck straight up and when I looked at his hand, I saw his claws were extended.
Before he got to the door, the door flung open all of a sudden, causing me to jolt. My eyes widened as I realized the door had completely broken down from its frame.
“What the hell?!” I whispered. At first, I didn’t see who had kicked down the door because Ethan was standing in front of the door frame.
But then, I looked closely and to my greatest surprise, I saw Alpha Marcus walk into the house with a large grin on his face. I gulped hard as I saw about seven other men walk in with him, causing Ethan to slowly retreat.
At this point, I could hear Ethan growling and so were the men behind Alpha Marcus. They looked so scary and ready to destroy anything.
Their eyes were all blue, which made me know that they were Betas like Ethan too.
My whole body shivered in fear for Ethan. “How the hell will he take down seven Betas and one Alpha? Those Betas are crazily strong!” Kiara yelled in my head fearfully.
“Let's relax, boys.” Alpha Marcus said, raising his hand, and immediately, the loud growling noise that filled the living room died down, except that of Ethan.
He was still very charged and had the stance of someone ready to attack regardless.
“We didn’t come to fight you, boy. You can drop the drama. I’m here for someone, and you know that person. Just let me have her, and things don't have to get ugly.” Alpha Marcus uttered, still keeping his menace smile.
“You are not getting her. Not on my watch.” Ethan growled, and my eyes widened in terror.
“Oh No. He’s going to kill himself!” Kiara yelled in my head.
“Not on your watch?” Alpha Marcus asked and broke into a loud annoying laughter. He shook his head and pulled his hand out of his pockets.
He moved closer to him, and all of a sudden, he grabbed him by the neck. He lifted him off the ground. My eyes popped wide open as I saw Ethan’s legs dangling in the air.
‘He’s going to kill him! I have to do something!’ I yelled in my head.
“No, he’s going to fight back. He’s a Beta. You are not going out there!” Kiara objected, but I was never going to listen to her. I’d never forgive myself if Alpha Marcus killed him.
I sprang to my feet and opened the door. I ran out of the room and waved my hands in the air.
“Let him go! I’m here!” I yelled, diverting Alpha Marcus’ attention from Ethan to me. And just when he looked at me, Ethan lifted his hand in the air and threw a punch to his face.
This made Alpha Marcus’ hand fall from Ethan’s neck, and when Ethan fell to the ground, his men rushed to him and they began to fight.
I saw his tongue trace where Ethan had punched on his face as he stared at me. He let out another smile which made my skin crawl.
“Tell them to stop fighting him!” I yelled in tears, as I saw Ethan struggling to keep up with the seven other Betas.
“Why should I? He punched me.” He uttered in a low voice, taking slow steps towards me.
“Because… because…” I stuttered, moving backward. I glanced back and when I saw I was close to the kitchen, I ran into the kitchen and reached for the knife.
“I’ll stab myself if they don’t stop hurting him!” I yelled, holding the knife with my hands and pointing it to my belly.
“You wouldn’t do that.” He responded with a straight face, staring at the knife in my hand.
“Oh, you’ll be surprised! I don’t want to be alive anyway! You and my father have done nothing but torture me. I don’t mind ending it right now!” I further pushed the knife to my belly, making it touch my skin.
He stared intensely at the knife, and when I saw he wasn’t going to budge, I applied more pressure. I felt the knife pierce my skin and I groaned in pain.
“Stop! Don’t you dare lay a finger on him anymore!” He yelled to the Betas and immediately, they stopped. I looked at my belly and I saw blood stain the white shirt I had on.
“Celine, please don’t do this. Don’t.” He put his hands out, trying to stop me.
“Ethan! Ethan! Come to me!” I yelled from inside the kitchen. The pain in my belly was becoming unbearable because I refused to let go of the knife.
“Let him go!” Alpha Marcus yelled at his Betas. I couldn’t see what was happening in the living room because I was in the corner of the kitchen.
“Celine? Celine!” Ethan yelled in terror when he staggered into the kitchen and saw the blood on my shirt. His face was swollen and there were claw marks everywhere on his body.
He ran towards me and stopped in terror. “What have you done?!” He yelled in tears, and I shook my head.
“Leave! Leave right now, Marcus! Leave! Or I’ll just end it right now! Tell your men to leave right now!” I yelled in tears.
One of my hands slipped from the knife weakly but I quickly held onto the kitchen Cabinet. My eyes began to grow dim all of a sudden, and I felt my head spinning.
“Leave!!!” I yelled with the last strength in me. I felt the knife fall from my hand and I slowly fell to the ground.
Ethan hastily grabbed me and held me in his hands. I felt his hand cover my bleeding cut. I tried looking at his face but my eyes could barely stay open.
“Celine!!!”
This was the last thing I heard.
