Chapter 7: Alpha Daniel

Alpha Daniel Pov

Sabrina wore a long-sleeved dress, not showing the scars and bruises I left on her body. She was a smart girl.

The only smart thing about her was she whimpered at my stare, making sure she knew to keep her fucking mouth shut as her father and other alphas were watching. I smiled wide at her. Every female in the pack had their eyes on me, drooling over me. I almost laughed at the pathetic excuse for breathing the same air as me. I only wanted one girl, and she was hiding.

I knew it as my gaze searched the big crowd gathering. Everyone was here. I knew the deltas would just let her stay behind. I could feel her too, like I always did, usually for just a few seconds. Still, now it was making our bond grow harder. I felt her jealousy and her hate. I loved every second of it, her envy rising in me, making my blood hot under the suit I was wearing. She was the only thing making me feel like I could even stomach standing next to Sabrina as I listened, bored at her father’s speech and some other alpha that was here to watch a new alliance formed, new mates.

I looked at Sabrina, stupid girl, she was almost crying as I got a hold of her neck, too hard, making her squeal with fear that was cursing through her pale blue eyes as I lend into her ear whispering threats that if she didn’t keep her mouth shut and embarrassed me in front of everyone right now, I will make her suffer again.

She nodded the slightest as I gave her a rare smile which made her happier, all I had to do was smile at her, and she jumped when I told her to. This girl didn’t know I hated her, every second of it. I tear into her flesh without tenderness, without mercy. My eyes closed, waiting… for something. However, nothing happened, and I stood still for a few seconds with my teeth buried in Sabrina’s neck, obviously in pain and realizing the same thing that I did.

There is no bond forming between us.

I push her away fast as she tumbles to the floor stage, spitting the blood out of my mouth as she cries loud now in front of everyone, looking at me in horror and fear like she does when we are alone. Her father looks shocked, and the other older alphas not realizing what is happening. Still, I am as I take the napkin prepared for me and wipe away the last of Sabrina’s obnoxious-smelling blood.

“Now that this fucking sham is over, bring me the real Luna!” I said it loudly as Ben nodded. He knew who I was talking about even if everyone else was looking at me in shock, seeing this side of me. I was tired of hiding, not being able to be with my mate. She is the only thing that makes me calm, make me not feel like a beast as I ignore the other alphas trying to make sense of the situation folding in front of them, Sabrina crying, my face having absolutely no emotion, and the restless crowd wondering who I’m talking about, the real Luna.

“She’s gone.” Ben’s calm voice tears down the last of my holding back, I’m going to kill anyone who helped her escape, and I’m going to hunt her down. She is mine! I’m growing louder, my eyes going black. I’m starting to lose it in front of every member of my pack. I don’t fucking care as I open up the link between us, knowing that I marked her. I fucking marked her without realizing it!

That is why my rejection did nothing to the bond; it only made it hurt more, making her insane and me in the process. I know the beast will win in the both of us if I can't find her having a clear moment for the first time in weeks in the middle of the chaos around me!

I look at Sabrina feeling awful for the first time in weeks about what I have been doing to her… I’m… a monster… I look at her with sadness for the first time. I know I’m not a nice guy, but never have I done the awful things she did not deserve.

“What is the meaning of this, Alpha Daniel!” Sabrina’s father, Alpha Gerard, is talking, and I sigh hard. I’m ashamed and have not done my duty to protect my pack or my mate. I am a disgrace to my title and for fighting my natural instincts, knowing it was wrong from the beginning. Sabrina got caught in the fucking pack politics.

“Sabrina is not my mate, and she never was.” Alpha Gerard makes a face and sighs. My anger is gone, but the shame is still there, seeing that he is starting to realize what I have been doing to his daughter, letting my beast take the rains and just pouring everything on Sabrina, my hate for being so fucking selfish towards my real mate.

“I am aware of that. Are you saying that you already found your mate?” He looked more impatience for each second as I nodded. I had found and lost her.

“I have, and you should take Sabrina home.” I looked at her, ashamed. She didn't say a word. I was sure she would tell everyone what kind of man I was, but she started to laugh; it was loud and barely made sense, like she had been driven to madness as the rest of us were.

“take me home, daddy.” She almost pleaded with him as I already didn’t set her free. She really was stupid but not deserving of my misguided hate.

I said nothing more when he just nodded, and I left; all I cared about was finding Allison, throwing myself on the ground, begging for her forgiveness for making her suffer, and leaving her alone when she needed me the most.

“then, were this mystery mate you speak of, Alpha Daniel?” He had turned around the crowd almost as if he was looking for her making me growl from the pit of my stomach. She was mine”

“She's gone.” Ben had already sent out guards after her; if I wasn’t occupied with this stupid Alpha in front of me, I would have been out searching for her.

“Is she dead?” Alpha Gerard wasn’t even trying to cover up the fact that he still wanted to sell off his daughter to me, that old fuck. I sneered at his stupid face. He was lucky I needed him because I didn’t want a war, especially with Allie on the run.

“she’s not dead, just gone,” I said in a sterner voice that made the old man's face flinch for a second and then disappear before a small smirk spread across his face. I really hated him.

“In that case, I don’t see why Sabrina can’t be your Luna, considering you just marked her.” The older Alpha had an accusing angry tone to his old voice now that made me chuckle a dark laughter that made him annoyed and his whole entourage.

“I didn’t mark her.” I turned around, looking at Sabrina, who saw my grinning face and gasped in horror, knowing I had the same smile when I hurt her the last couple of weeks.

“Daddy, he didn’t mark me. I can’t feel it. I can't feel anything to him!” she was pleading to her father, that had a shade of red that came with the anger of me rejecting his daughter. I just smirked at the rambling mess Sabrina was. I never said I was a good guy or even a nice one for that. I cared about my pack and my mate, my REAL mate.

The older Alpha was confused for the first seconds before he was angry again and pointed his finger at me like he had a fucking chance of taking me down, he might be an alpha, but he was old; I would kill him as easily as I did with the Alpha of Allison’s pack.

“You did it. You mark someone else, wasting me and my daughter's goddamn time!” he spat the last word making his old face scrounge up more as I shrugged. I didn’t need him, and he needed me. Wasn’t that why he was so desperate for an alliance selling off his daughter as cattle to me?

“I did. I marked my real mate.” I didn’t even try to look like I was boasting. My wolf side purred over the fact that Allie would never be able to have another mate, not that I wasn’t going to hunt her down, just as soon as this old fool made up my mind if I would keep him alive or not.

“This is an insult to my whole clan and me. I hope you understand that, Alpha!” the old man was cursing at me. I just laughed at his anger and turned around. Enough of this. I nodded at Ben, who waved his hand, and my fighters came out of nowhere surrounding the Alpha and his warriors. Sabrina was crying again, and I narrowed my eyes at the headache she was giving me. Didn’t she ever shut the fuck up?

“This I treacherous! You will burn for this, Daniel Turner!” I smiled when I turned my head and looked at the older man down on his knees, followed by his warriors, who all wanted to kill me. I scoffed. Good luck with that.

“On second thought, Alpha, I will take your daughter, but not as my mate, but I like to make her scream..." I chuckled when Sabrina shrieked at my words and was covered in the corner, making the older man finally see me for what I was, a monster.

“Don’t hurt her! She is only a girl!” He was pleading now, making my eyes roll, she was 23, making her about the same age as Allison, more or less, and I didn’t care if she was young, and I wasn’t an older man myself.

“I won’t hurt her…. If you give me your promise that your pack will follow me after you die." I said the words casually, believing there was no way he would go for it. He was an alpha like me, and we only wanted one thing, dominance over everything.

“Fine. Kill me, but don’t hurt Sabrina. She’s all I got left of her mother, my mate.” He said the word mate stronger as I felt a strong tug in my chest, fuck he was playing on my feelings the old timer, and it was working!

“I will not harm her, and she will have her chance to find her true mate, that Is, of course, if you are willing to die and give me your pack” I had my arms crossed over my powerful chest, still feeling the pain of my mate running away, I needed to find her, and that was right now.

“Daddy, no! he’s a monster! He hurt me. Please, I rather die than be with him!” Sabrina had thrown herself at her father’s side before being pushed off by my warriors, and I sighed. She rather dies than be with me; that could be arranged, but then her old man wouldn’t give up his power willingly. Whatever that bitch spat at me, I would keep calm. I needed her, unfortunately.

“I have, but I am a man of my word. She will not be harmed by me and will still have a chance at a real mate. That’s more of a generous offer Alpha Gerard. My eyes glimmered with satisfaction when the older man bowed his head and nodded in agreement after a few seconds of looking at his only daughter.

“So be it then, Alpha Daniel Turner will have your territory and your pack under my dominance, and your daughter will be free to leave if she wishes. My voice boomed over the pack that was standing watching me. Most of them were in awe, knowing their Alpha would have the biggest pack in the area, hell, maybe on this continent.

There were loud gaps when the old Alpha's head was cleaned off from his shoulder from my hand half transformed. I didn’t even have to shift completely to take him down the old dog as Sabrina’s cry was muffled as she was dragged off stage. I turned around and smiled my absolutely charming smile, making many she-wolves smile back at me, dazzling their bodies at me, willingly, like I wanted to touch them. I snapped my head against Ben.

“Beta, secure our new pack and territories, and find my fucking mate!” I shouted at him through the link when he nodded fast, used to my harsh outburst, and went to work when I got a cloth removing the blood of the old Alpha off my hand. Allison would get back to me, no matter the cost, how many corpses I had to step over. She was mine!

I opened the link and felt that she was there and smiled as I walked down the small steps of the stage. She still wanted me, and I could feel it.

“Allie, stop running! You are my mate, and I love you, turn around now, or I will find you and drag you back to me!” I growled and punched the wall when she closed the damn link. On me, me? I was the Alpha, for fuck’s sake! Her Alpha and I wouldn’t rest before she was back.
