Chapter 33: Alpha Daniel

Allison’s pov

I pace the last part feeling the energy of a lot of beasts leaving, Daniel being impatient as usual, killing one in front of me, splattering blood all over my fur, making me growl at him for being an idiot. I don’t want to be dirty or stink of some feral rouge that he loves to kill.

I see them even before he does. My mate is still high on his last kill, and I stare at the three strong lights in the distance, which are so beautiful.

I don’t care about Daniel chasing stupid stragglers that hadn’t followed the main horde pulling back before we even got here.

I want to see that girl again. I can sense she is different when I sprint the last distance and stop putting some distance between us before I shift back. She looks scared, and I smirk. She’s a weird one; she can feel what I am, even if she doesn’t know my mate or me.

She is not a witch. That still sounds stupid. I have accepted that part, a witch. It made sense when Daniel said the word, it’s what I am, but I’m still a wolf; the Luna of this pack and the slender blonde girl who is insanely pregnant is still part of that pack since she has a fresh wound on her neck, I guess the Beta that looks seriously pissed off at me like he always does, just marked her.

“Beta, Beta female,” I smirk more when he growls at me, shuffling his mate behind his back as if he could never take me down. I can’t die, and I know it by now, and I can kill with the flick of my hand. He should be scared of me… I narrow my eyes when Daniel finally comes along and pushes me behind him, pissed off. I’m naked before another man, even if he doesn’t give a shit, and he knows it too. He only has eyes for the young blonde who doesn’t like my mates' company or me.

“Ben! What the fuck is going on? You tell me there is a fucking invasion, I have people all over the place, and suddenly, a whole fucking horde of disgusting rouges are camping near my fucking territory!” he screams at the end, and I roll my eyes. He will never change, and I should be happy that he hasn’t trashed any furniture.

“I don’t fucking know, alright! I was trying to get Milly back into the pack. They just poured in from fucking nowhere!” the sneering guy, who was Daniels' Beta, was not feeling the chain of command, not that I cared that much about him. Still, his mate, on the other hand, was fascinating. First, she was a human, but now… she was something else, which made me even happier: I wasn’t a freak alone in a world full of beasts.

Not that I would ever admit that, ever.

Daniel snapped his eyes at the shaking girl. She wasn’t looking at him, eyes down and head down, intelligent girl, not that Ben would let Daniel touch a hair on her head, but she wasn’t challenging him the other way around. She was submissive, making him relax more.

I don’t know how she knew that since she was human or if she just felt that way, but her posture made me angry from nowhere. I didn’t want a submissive Beta, for Daniel and me, but not for the rest of the pack.

“Beta female, you bow to no one except the Alpha and me; remember that when we get back.” She instantly lifts her eyes and then meets mine. She looks fearless with her light eyes, making me wonder if she was playing scared or if she was just as bad at being obedient as Ben was, worse, maybe.

“Yes, Luna.” She says that, and I smirk. Oh, she was feisty. I liked her, not like that fucking whore that Daniel had before me; if I ever saw her again, I was going to kill her too, just like her mate.

Daniel looks proud at me, he thinks I’m putting her back where she belongs, but he got it all wrong. I’m just making sure she doesn’t get taken advantage of like I was for so many years, but let them try. Then I will have fun taking life force to my own one.

“Can we please just fucking hurry this along, or do you want my mate to start giving birth here at this fucking shithole of a gas station?!” Ben is still naked, covered in blood, and I just turn my head to my mate, I let him decide this one, it’s his friend, and I know for a fact that the lights cricketing the girl´s head are not going to be born just yet, making me smirk even more, he sure was nervous about me being around his mate.

“Fine. I don’t like the smell of fucking rouges and humans anyway.” He turns around and leaves, not even addressing the new Beta, and I frown; that was rude even for him.

“Daniel, get the fuck back here and talk to the new Beta female. I know you don’t give a shit, but I do.” He turns to hear me link him, and he is mad, but I don’t care. I’m not scared of him anymore; he knows it when he growls, making the blonde one jump back into her mate’s arms, not expecting to hear him roar that loudly near her.

“You, Beta Female, what’s your name? Since my sister is dead and you are her replacement, I guess I should know it.” He stares at her, eyes black. He is furious that I’m making him talk to her. I pretend I had nothing to do with it making her head fall down again and look shattered when her mate is about to lose his shit over what just came from Daniels’s mouth.

Sister? I raised my eyebrows. So Daniel had a sister…. Seeing the pain mixed with anger and hopelessness on Ben's face is why the Rema was just a crazy old bat. She lost her pup.

I got sad. Instant.

Fuck.

Daniel instantly shifted his focus to me, ignoring that he almost made the new girl cry; he really was an asshole, wasn’t he?

“This is not about Candi, and you fucking know it, Daniel! Milly is my mate just as much as she was. You better fucking recognize that or her and me. We are leaving this pack just like I told you!” he is spitting words, but I don’t care. I just want to go back to the sadness. It's drowning me when I feel my mate is returning to get me. The girl, whose name is Milly, looks up at me again. She smiles; it's weak and disappears the second Daniel has his hand on my shoulder, but it's there, the slight sliver of warmness she seems to have, and I don’t anymore.

“Allie, I didn’t mean it like that…. fuck…” he just sighs when I close my eyes and turn away from the bloody couple. Ben is giving me pity, and I don’t want it. I don’t want pity. I want to have another light.

“Let's just go back to the pack and make sure everyone knows about the Beta Female, so they don’t beat her for trespassing….” She flinches, hearing me talk about getting assaulted, and this time, I just give her a weak smile. Welcome to the world of beasts…. Poor girl.

“She doesn’t mean that, Milly. Nobody is going to hurt you. I make sure of that, nobody.” Ben's voice is grim. He sounds like he did when he barked at me when I was just an Omega. Oh, she sure didn’t know him, not at all the way. She instantly looked more secure and cuddled up against him, he was a beta, and he was Daniels, so that meant that he had done shit and then some.

“I did mean it, and you had better keep her safe, Beta, she is still human, and beasts are not going to like that. Take it from me, someone that wasn’t born into the privilege like you were.” I sound bitter, and I am bitter, really, I am.

Daniel reels me in, holding me tightly in his arms like he's going to fix anything that has already happened, and he knows just as much as me.

“that’s never happening again, you hear me, Allie, never….” He sounds sad, he feels sad, and I just let myself sink into him more. I just want to go back and get dressed, that’s all.

“I know it won’t because I will kill them before they lay a hand on me.” our eyes met, and he smiled when he saw that I looked determined. I was serious when I said that I would never let anyone step over me, I was a witch and a Luna, and I demanded respect!

“My queen, look at you….” He links that, and I smile again. He and me, we are going to change things, fucking shake things up, and the old order is not going to know what fucking hit them.

“Let’s have a summit. Does that sound good? Since I skipped my Luna ceremony and we have a new Beta female, it’s a perfect time, isn’t it?” the dark brooding beta and the blonde girl reacted differently. He seemed pleased but guarded, and she was suspicious and scared but not at the thought of being surrounded by beasts. She was scared of the future and what it held for her and her lights.

“a summit? You want a summit, baby?” Daniel was worried, and I just smiled at him, patting his cheek lightly. He shouldn’t be worried. I had plans for us, for him and me, to make sure things were going to change.

“Yeah, I do. I want to show my face to the fucking world and see theirs when they understand that I can kill them, just like that.” I snap my fingers, and I don’t even have to lean against Daniels' hard body to know that he got hard from hearing me want to kill people. He really was an Alpha, that was for sure.

Ben just made a face of disapproval that I ignored. He was still my mate’s problem. As long as he didn’t touch the girl, I was happy.

Daniel growled, and just like that, the beta couple started to move, first Ben and then her, Milly coming along with her mate, still looking at me like she was trying to figure me out just as much as I was trying to figure her out.

They hadn’t even left when he lifted me up, and I opened my legs for him. The hard dick was already inside me when I kissed his handsome face, he was perfection, and he was just for me to have, not some fucking whores, just mine!

We weren’t even saying anything, just small huffs of sounds and moans when he was taking me up against the same gas station that we had come to rescue or Betas, but I didn’t care anymore, wrapping my legs around him harder, tighter for every time he slammed into me, fuck! I was hissing in the end when he slammed his hand into the concrete wall beside me, making dust from the wall surround us for a couple of seconds when he still was growling in my ear, making my beast purr back at him.

He was the biggest, meanest beast out there, and he was mine, giving me what I wanted, my own light.

“It will happen baby, sooner or later, you will have what you want….” He heard me, and I smiled. I was sure he was right. He was holding me back against the shitty place we still hadn’t left, and I hated it.

“Let’s just go home, I have a summit to plan, and it's going to be spectacular, Dan, nothing like that shitty event you had with that whore.” He loses his smile when I talk about her, not that he gives a shit about her, he doesn’t, just that it reminds him of what happened. His almost killing me like that hasn’t happened so often after that.

“It's going to be fucking amazing, Allie, promise.” He just looks determined at me when he smiles at him. Oh, I know it will be, and not for the reasons he thinks about.

“Good.” He lets me down gently, and I smirk when he kisses me one more time before we shift back, and I stare out over the area. Someone was watching, and I just didn’t know how or why.... interesting... I pretend I don't sense it and turn my head to my mate again.

“The girl that Ben has, she is different, Daniel, and I don’t know why; just keep an eye on her, but don’t fucking hurt her, she still has her lights, and I don’t want them hurting.” He just huffs as the giant beast when I snarl back. I don’t care what he thinks, this is what I want, and he promises me the world; this is a part of that.

“Alright, I keep track of her, but Ben will snap when he finds out, and I understand that part. Even if he is the biggest asshole, I get it. He wants his mate for himself.” I huff at that when we start to move back; that’s stupid; it sounds like we were property, not their soulmate. I wasn’t going to stand for that, not from him or anyone.

He doesn’t answer when we start to run, he disagrees, and I don’t care about that. He will have no choice, just like the rest of them.
