Chapter 77 Eiden

Chapter 77 Eiden
Eiden's POV

“Alpha, you have to be careful,” said Delta Sophia.

“Two men carrying sharp weapons stopped your car a few days ago, and you've received two death threats.” I didn't know how many times Gamma Nolan has said that.

“You're going alone,” said Beta Serena. “No warriors are guarding you. We can't even send a spy warrior to watch you from a distance.”

“I hate this situation,” Gamma Nolan growled, his fists clenched tightly. “But we can’t make the rogues suspicious of us.”

“We’ve already assigned a warrior to the rogue clan just to keep an eye on Liam during school,” Delta Sophia said.

“It's a shame, we can't risk ordering him to watch Alpha from this afternoon until tomorrow morning,” Delta Sophia added, a heavy sigh escaping her lips.

"If rogue intel were willing to take on a job like watching someone else, I'd pay them." Gamma Nolan was exaggerating.

"I agree with you." Beta Serena nodded.

We were sitting in my office, as the place was soundproof and heavily guarded, so no one could overhear our conversation and sneak in.

A few hours before I left for the Rogue Clan, the three knocked on my office door, sat on the sofa, and expressed their concern with anxious expressions.

If possible, they wanted to stop me from going to see Celeste, Liam, and Levi.

If I could bring the Warrior into the Rogue Clan's territory, they wouldn't be so worried.

We hadn't caught the two men or the person who threw rocks at my bedroom window and porch.

A note reading “I’m going to kill you” was tied to both stones.

Dashboard footage and security cameras captured the perpetrators, but they were dressed in black, wearing masks, and carried out the act at night.

The warrior spy team and the special forces worked extra hard to identify the perpetrators based on the footage.

Four warriors and I saw one of the men who stopped my car that night, but we still had difficulty identifying the perpetrator based solely on his physical appearance and eye color.

It was made even more difficult by the fact that the person was wearing a scent-masking perfume.

However, it could be a clue. Plus, all the perpetrators were fast runners.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine,” I told the three. “I won’t let people like them touch me.

“And my wolf will take over my body or give me his powers when things get desperate.” All Alphas must have a high level of self-confidence.

'You can count on me.' My wolf grinned arrogantly. 'I won’t let them hurt you, let alone kill you.'

My wolf and I switched bodies in a matter of two seconds. We were gifted with something truly special.

“You must tell us if anything bad happens to you, whether you’re alone or with Liam, his mother, and his little brother.” Gamma Nolan stared at me intently, not wanting to see me shake my head and say no.

“Okay, I’ll contact you three via mind link.” I nodded.

But they weren’t satisfied with my answer.

"You have to promise us." Beta Serena put on a serious face so I wouldn't ignore their concern for me.

"I promise," I said earnestly.

Everyone enjoys the attention of others, even if it's a little distracting for me.

The warriors escorting me watched me enter the rogue clan's borders in their car.

I'd already told Paulo last night, and when I arrived, he asked me to go straight to his office.

I sat there for an hour, watching Paulo work.

If I had a friend in the rogue clan, I'd only be questioned for half an hour. Not a civilian, of course; I'd have to befriend an Alpha.

It never occurred to me to befriend an Alpha rogue.

I never bothered getting close to Alpha Giovano, even though I’d invested in his company and Alpha Matteo’s.

“Thank you, as always, Paulo," I said to him as he let me leave the border office and do whatever I wanted in this region.

“You’re welcome, Alpha Eiden.” Paulo nodded with a professional smile.

I put on my mask, glasses, and hat. The people in the office were naturally curious about who I was, but they chose to feign ignorance.

Paulo's brother-in-law drove me to the hotel, not far from the mall that Celeste, Liam, Levi, and I often visited to play arcade games and eat ice cream.

Celeste, Liam, and Levi had already checked in. They were waiting in a three-bed suite Celeste had booked the night before.

I suggested we spend time at the hotel because they were still hesitant to stay at my mansion, even though Alpha Jackson and I had made a pact to keep our secret.

I had an access card that made the hotel staff let me through without question, as I was an investor.

I had no regrets whatsoever about investing so much money in Alpha Matteo and Alpha Giovano.

My heart was pounding as I walked toward the room.

I wondered what kind of face I would show them.

I didn't usually think about things like that.

“Hey, everyone.” I greeted the people sitting in the living room. They gave me big smiles that made my heart melt.

“Alpha Eiden.” Liam and Levi waved as they jogged over to me.

“Wow, wow, you guys are so happy to see me, huh?” I smiled, amused.

“Okay, okay, I see why you’re so excited.” I nodded twice with my hands on my hips.

They grinned sheepishly.

“You should let Alpha Eiden rest first. He must be tired,” Celeste said, shaking her head at her two sons’ behavior.

“I’m fine, but thank you for your concern.” My words made Celeste’s eyes widen, and she looked away from me. How cute she was, blushing.

“My wolf can’t wait to meet you, too,” I said again to the two boys. “Wait for him, okay?” They nodded obediently.

'I'm glad they can't wait to meet me.' My wolf couldn't stop his happy grin.

I switched bodies with my wolf in my room. Celeste made the room near the entrance mine.

I lost half my energy. Luckily, we did it while my stomach was full.

I’d packed a lunch and ate it on my way to the hotel.

I was inside my wolf body. It felt cool and warm at the same time. But I couldn't sleep because my wolf couldn't control himself without me.

My wolf approached Liam and Levi with a proud air, as if he were on a battlefield. He didn't really need to display his authority.

"Hi, Liam, Levi. Nice to meet you." Arlo tried to speak calmly so his deep voice wouldn't scare them.

"Hi, Alpha Arlo." Liam and Levi stared at Arlo in awe and hesitated to close the distance between them.

My wolf is just like me; we've never been good with children.

“Hi, Celeste.” Arlo greeted Celeste. She stood there with a polite smile and returned his greeting.

'She's so pretty, Eiden,' my wolf said to me. I nodded, not denying it.

“Hey, boys. Don't you want to hug me? My fur is soft and warm.” Arlo tried to lighten the mood. He was no longer acting mighty and playing hard to get. He wanted to be close to them.
