Chapter 6

In the morning Kathy opened her eyes to see herself laying on Mr. Thompson's chest right away she pulled herself away from trying not to wake him up. She turned over to get her cellphone to see it was seven in the morning, and she could see she was missing calls from her father. She pulled the blanket from her body and sat up to stretch her muscles out before going to the bathroom to do her business, then brush and wash her face. Once that was done Kathy slowly walked out of the bedroom and pulled the door closed, so she didn’t disturb Mr. Thompson. Then walked over to the table where she left her mom wrapped up in the golden cloth as she unwrapped her and smiled, putting her picture on top. She just sat at the table and talked to her mom.

“Good morning, mom. You believed this. I know if you were alive you would be yelling at me. But I have this feeling I had to help this person who was injured. I felt like I had to help him, but the doctor came over and checked on him, and everything was okay. Dad is angry because he wants the money and company that you built from the ground up, to live a rich life with his new family. I know I shouldn’t be about people but Skye took my boyfriend who is now my ex but I knew he has been cheating on me for a while with my step-sister. Well I know you must be angry with the heavens. I am staying at this penthouse with Mr. Thompson until he heals enough or someone can come and take care of him. Mom, I don’t know what I should do. Either get married to a random man or have my father pick a man for me to marry.”

Kathy heard the elevator door open and saw a young man come in he sees Kathy sitting there at the dining table still in her night clothes.

“Good morning, Can I help you?”

“Good morning, my name is Miles we talked on the phone last night,”

“Oh, yes. Why did you say Alpha on the phone,”

Miles knew that he made mistakes by saying Alpha, he clearly sees that she doesn't know what he was talking about and just smiles at her, and scratches the back of his neck and try not to talk about it then looks away.

“Forget what I was saying. Where is he?”

“Mr. Thompson is in the bedroom still sleeping. If he wakes up just give him some painkillers for his headache that he is going to have. By then I am going to make breakfast,”

“Thank you. Um…. who was you talking to?” asked Miles

“Oh mom, she is over here on the table. She passed away, I talk to her, it not crazy I feel like she is still with me,”

“I am sorry for your lose, I am going to check on him right now,”

Kathy watched Miles go into the bedroom and close the door behind him, thinking that it could be Mr. Thompson's husband, but she didn’t see a ring on Miles' finger. Wait, are they lovers just keeping it secret from their loved ones. It’s none of her business anyways, she looked in the fridge to make breakfast, then her cell phone rings again therefore she put in her Bluetooth to answer the call.

“Kathy, when are you coming home?” said Edward

“Good morning to you dad. What is it you want?”

“Come home, so we can talk. I have a business partner who want to talk to you too,”

“Dad, I don't know what you are up to. You are not going to have the company or it’s money for your second family. I am going to hang up,”

“If you hang up this phone, you better not come back home. I will also burn all your mother things,”

“You are sick, you know that,”

“If you want your mother things, you will come home,”

“I will be there,”

Kathy hangs up the call. She can’t believe that her father threatened her with her things that she left behind at the house. She needed a plan fast,”

In the bedroom Miles sees Alpha Anthony sitting up in the bed as he looks at his Beta who stands next to him. Anthony sees the woman that was sleeping was gone, as he woke up when he saw her get up and head out of the room. Miles looks at his alpha as he looks at the door.

“Alpha, is something wrong,”

“That woman is my mate,”

“Who Kathy? She is the one who saves. She is your mate, you felt the spark,”

“Yes, she smells like apple spice mixed with brown sugar. But I heard her talking to someone,”

“Um…yes her mother passed away, her ashes are in the box on the table. Anyways she is making breakfast, Kathy is your mate, which mean you going to bring her home,”

“No, not yet until I found out who is trying to kill me. Did you find out anything?”

“No, Alpha,”

There was a knock on the door, raising his hand up to Miles to be quiet, as Kathy opened the door and carried a tray of food for Mr. Thompson eats, as she enters she saw him sitting up and Miles back away. Kathy looks at those two like they were talking about something, probably of how they are going to run away together and get married so they can have their happy ending. Just put the tray over his legs and back away from the bed.

“I sorry I didn’t mean to disturb you two, I will go,”

Kathy exited the room and let those two men talk, closed the door behind her as she went to her suitcase and pulled it into the living room so she could get dressed for the day.
