Chapter 31 Let’s Escape from the Dungeon
Wesley’s POV
“Put your feet on the table,” Giovanni instructed Molly, adding to my confusion as he opened the wine bottle.
My heart raced with each of his actions, and I wanted to grab the wine bottle from him and return it to its rightful place.
I had bought it the day Molly signed off on everything, but I didn't think she was deserving of it. Now, it felt like some kind of trophy, but when I heard Giovanni's intentions for it, I felt like I was dying inside.
“I just remembered that I have to clean their smelly mouths from your precious feet,” he remarked, causing my jaw to clench, feeling powerless in front of him.
Molly seemed taken aback by his actions as he knelt before her, treating her like a princess, disregarding his white suit as he gently removed her stilettos.
Giovanni carefully placed her feet on my coffee table, then picked up her jewelry box and duffle bag from the floor, placing them gently on the sofa to avoid the unconscious bodyguards lying on the floor.
I was unsure of what to do with the bodyguards, unable to determine if they were dead or still alive. Mmmmm," Molly's moan caught my attention as I witnessed Giovanni washing her feet with my most expensive wine on the center table in my fucking living room.
To my dismay, he then used his expensive white blazer to wipe her feet before delicately putting her stilettos back on.
It was widely known that Giovanni never allowed a stain on his attire, so it was surprising to see him use his spotless blazer in such a manner.
The reactions of Kiara, my mother, Bertha, and Radley mirrored my own astonishment.
Giovanni's actions were perplexing, and I couldn't help but wonder what hold Molly had over him. Despite her seemingly insignificant status, he treated her like royalty.
As he casually tossed the blazer over his shoulder and lifted Molly in a bridal style, I couldn't help but feel inadequate.
Giovanni's effortless grace and care for Molly left me questioning his motives as he also picked up her jewelry box and duffle bag with his free hand.
He treated them all like feathers. Giovanni was ruthless, but when it came to Molly, he seemed to debunk the rumors.
"Let's get out of this dungeon," he said with disdain as my heart broke at the sight of my empty expensive wine bottle and the messy living room.
All my anger burned at myself and Molly. She was supposed to be mine, at my mercy, so how did a man like Giovanni Dawson come in and cause us so much shame?
Not even the things I took from her were enough to numb the pain of what Giovanni did, including whatever he did to my father.
"Giovanni," I heard Kiara suddenly say. She rushed to his side and held the hem of his shirt, but all hell seemed to have broken loose.
He froze, but his gaze was fiery as he dropped the duffle bag, the jewelry box, and then Molly. "Please hold this," he said to Molly, giving her the blazer, he had thrown over his shoulder earlier.
“You disgusting bitch," he spat, his hands striking Kiara's cheek. "How dare you touch me with your filthy hands?" His voice was icy, his eyes as cold as an iceberg.
Kiara lay unconscious on the floor as Giovanni removed the shirt she had touched, tossing it aside. "Keep it," he said coldly.
I watched my mother sink to her knees in the tense atmosphere, and I could empathize with her.
Giovanni kept the blazer he had used to wipe Molly's feet, but at the slightest touch from Kiara, he discarded his shirt, unconcerned that he was now only in his undershirt.
The woman I discarded was his treasure, whiles the one I treasured became his trash.
Molly visibly gulped at the sight of his well-toned body. Even as a man, I envied his physique but wasn't willing to put in the effort to achieve it.
How did he find the time to work out so rigorously with his numerous gangs and companies?
Giovanni's muscular physique made me feel inadequate, highlighting how much I had neglected myself. Molly was back in his arms, her arms wrapped around his neck as he gathered her belongings and left my house.
It felt like a weight had been lifted with his departure, and a sigh of relief escaped me.
"Is he even human? Does he sleep in the gym or something?" Radley asked, adding to my embarrassment.
I noticed Bertha was also captivated by Giovanni, her gaze lingering at the entrance where he had just exited.
“Call 911," my mother yelled, snapping me out of my daze. I had forgotten all about Kiara.
Just as I was reaching for the phone to dial, I noticed my phone was already ringing. It was the spy I had hired to monitor Giovanni.
"Mr. Thompson, I've spotted his car. Are we still proceeding with the plan?"
