Chapter 33 He Clearly Doesn't Love Her, But Why Does He Feel Hurt

Chapter 33 He Clearly Doesn't Love Her, But Why Does He Feel Hurt

A hot tear rolled down Grace's cheek and dripped onto Henry's hand.

Henry was stunned for a moment. He felt Grace's body trembling. She was pleading, crying, begging him to let her go.

Even though he didn't love her, he still felt an inexplicable pain in his heart.

Henry didn't answer, he just gently stroked Grace's cheek, listening to her pleading voice.

In fact, Grace rarely showed her vulnerable side in front of him. Since she married him, she had never broken down and cried like this.

Was it really so painful to stay by his side?

For three years, it was always Grace expressing her love, giving her all, leaving no room for herself.

But he only rejected her kindness, denied her feelings for him.

Grace seemed to have accepted her fate, let out a self-deprecating laugh, then turned her head, wiped her tears, and lay down, "Henry, I want to rest for a while, please leave."

Henry felt the lingering warmth in his hand, said nothing, his expression filled with complexity.

He got up, glanced at Grace who was sobbing softly, and left the hospital room.

Through the door window, he watched Grace sobbing inside, and felt an inexplicable heartache.

Why, even though he didn't love Grace, did he feel this pain?

Clearly, he hated Grace more, so why did he have the urge to comfort her?

He returned to the villa and first went to the room from that night.

He sat by the bed, looking at the violin placed on the table, unable to snap out of it for a long time.

All good beginnings were inseparable from the violin.

His first encounter with Grace was like this.

Being awakened by Elodie's violin was also like this.

Now, the thought of persuading Grace to come back was also because of this violin.

He admitted, listening to Grace play the violin that day, he wondered what would happen if he let Grace go?

Once, she begged him to listen to her play the violin, but he refused.

Looking at the violin, he gradually lost focus, thinking of the wedding rings.

He took the ring box from the drawer beside him, opened it, and the wedding ring inside shone brightly, which reflected the one on his ring finger.

He seemed to return to the day Grace put the ring on him.

Because the wedding was rushed, it was one of the wedding gifts bought by the Windsor family.

That day, she put the ring on him with affectionate eyes.

But when it was his turn to put the ring on her, he didn't move.

In the end, Grace put the wedding ring on herself with a bitter smile.

In front of everyone, she must have felt very embarrassed.

She put the wedding ring on herself, and now she took it off herself.

She was quite carefree.

Thinking about it, it was him who was entangled.

Grace wanted to leave, didn't want to be his wife anymore, even if her life would be hard after leaving him, she was still willing.

But how could he let her have her way? He hated her since three years ago.

She could let go easily, but he hadn't moved on yet, and now she wanted to leave?

He got up and left the room, went to the bedroom, sat by the bed, and looked at the empty room, feeling a sense of emptiness.

He knew he cared too much about Grace.

Unintentionally, Grace had already integrated into his life.

Every morning before he got up, Grace would prepare his outfit for the day.

Breakfast always suited his taste, even the perfume was sprayed by her personally.

Gradually, with Grace's disappearance, he felt his life routine was disrupted.

From the work efficiency of the past few days, it was clear he couldn't live without Grace.

Because he had gotten used to having such a considerate wife to take care of all the trivial matters.

She was an extremely important matter for him.

Moreover, he had hated her for three years.

After dinner, Henry sat at Grace's usual dressing table, lit a cigarette, and scanned the items on the table.

Grace left in a hurry, looking at the untouched bottles on the table, it was clear how determined Grace was to leave.

These were all things Grace cared about the most.

Because these things could give her soft and tender skin, the only thing that made him linger.

In three years, Henry was only satisfied with making love with her.

He suddenly remembered that Grace used to write a diary every day.

He didn't know if she took it with her, but when he opened the drawer, he found a pink, old-fashioned diary.

He gently opened it.

It was filled with Grace's wholehearted affection for him.

He didn't care about these things before, even if he saw them, he just found them boring.

But now he had changed, he wanted to know everything about Grace, wanted to know why Grace no longer loved him.

Thin smoke filled the air.

He began to read her diary, and his pupils began to constrict.

[Henry, when will you ever like me?]

[Henry, today is my birthday, but why did you go to accompany Elodie?]

Just a few lines made Henry's heart surge with waves.

He crushed the cigarette and began to read seriously.

Finally, at the end of the diary, was the day the Windsor family went bankrupt and Oliver went to jail.

He remembered that day seemed to be her birthday, and also their wedding anniversary. That day she said she urgently needed money.

He thought she wanted to use her birthday to profit from him.

So he only gave her a check for a hundred thousand dollars.

But in the end, it seemed that because of Celeste's negligence, the hundred thousand dollars was not used.

He remembered that day Grace carefully tugged at his clothes, begging him to save Oliver.

Her attitude was extremely sincere, as if begging for Hnery's mercy.

That day, Elodie called him, so he went to Harmony City to watch a fireworks show with her.

The fireworks were prepared by Celeste.

This was also the first time the media captured news of him and Elodie.

The next day, he received news that Nathan was critically ill. If it weren't for Lucas, who had paid two million dollars to save him, Grace might not have a father now.

Henry rushed back, and that day, Grace seemed like a different person. Although still considerate, her eyes no longer held joy. Even when faced with his concessions and benefits, she showed no interest.

Perhaps from the moment he ignored Grace's pleas and went to Harmony City to watch fireworks with Elodie, she had changed.

At the end of the diary, a line of twisted words was written on a wrinkled tear stain.

[Henry will never like me!]
