Chapter 284 Let's Live Together For A While And Then Get Married
The rain outside just kept coming down.
In the tiny bedroom, the bed was creaking like crazy, mixed with Henry's heavy breathing and Grace's soft moans. Anyone listening would be blushing and their heart would be racing.
Caught up in the moment, Grace gently touched Henry's handsome face.
She trusted Henry; the info he gave her was legit. She wasn't married, no husband in the picture, but she still had her doubts.
As Henry kept going, she wrapped her arms around his neck to stop him, her voice soft and unsure as she said, "I have stretch marks on my lower abdomen."
She couldn't shake it off.
Henry was too into it to stop, but he had to think about her feelings. He gently touched her face, his voice a bit shaky. "Can I see?"
Grace murmured a yes, but when the light came on, she curled up.
Before, the room was dim, and she was okay with that. But now, with the bright light, she felt super embarrassed, curling up and covering herself with her hands.
The dark bedsheet made her skin look even more delicate, creating a striking image.
Henry gently pulled her hands away to look at her belly.
Even after having two kids, Grace's lower abdomen was still soft and flat, not skinny, with a bit of flesh that felt nice to touch. The fine lines she mentioned were barely noticeable; Henry would have to look closely to see them.
Henry stared for a moment, then his breathing quickened. His slender fingers replaced what was there before, soothing her as he kissed her. His voice was warm as he said, "Even weight loss can cause these lines. You must've been a bit chubby before."
Grace, breathless from his actions, softly murmured, "No, I wasn't."
Henry knew she wasn't. Grace had been beautiful and slim since she was young, yet she had a curvy figure, making him unable to let go.
Henry, who hadn't had sex for a long time, didn't know restraint and enjoyed it to the fullest.
When it was all over, dusk had already fallen outside.
Their bodies were completely satisfied, both feeling too lazy to move. Henry leaned against the headboard and lit a cigarette, but he only smoked half before putting it out.
Grace nestled in his arms, her long hair brushing against his body, the atmosphere filled with sweetness.
Henry couldn't help but lower his head to kiss her again.
Grace, afraid he would start again, dodged away.
From noon until just now, he had been at it continuously; she had lost count of how many times they had done it. She had no memory or comparison, but she vaguely knew that Henry's desire was much stronger than that of an average man.
Grace was still in some pain, so even though she was hungry, she still wanted to lie down.
Henry wasn't angry at being rejected; instead, he gently asked, "Still in pain?"
Grace shook her head; she didn't want to answer such an embarrassing question, so she changed the subject. "It's almost seven, I'll go make dinner. Can you stay here for dinner? What about the villa..."
Henry chuckled softly, his gaze deep.
He teased her by his hand under the thin blanket, not intending to start again, just purely wanting to see her blush and her heart race.
Grace grabbed his mischievous finger and called out, "Mr. Montague!"
Henry kissed her passionately.
Grace was like a small boat, floating and swaying on the water.
Her face was flushed, carrying the unique charm of a mature woman.
Henry kissed her ear, speaking gently, "I'll make dinner. And from now on, call me Henry."
Grace was still not used to it; she wanted to get up.
But Henry tucked her into the blanket, holding her gently, kissed her face, and gently said, "Rest for a while. I'll call you when dinner is ready."
Since losing her memory, Grace had suffered a lot. She never imagined she'd experience such tenderness, especially from a man like Henry.
She looked up at Henry, her eyes slightly misty.
Henry felt a bit heartbroken; he lowered his head to kiss her on her eyelids, then put on his dried clothes and went into the kitchen. Grace always cooked for herself, so the fridge was well-stocked.
Henry made two steaks and a soup.
He checked the bedroom and saw Grace had crashed from exhaustion, so he slipped out to grab some ointment. He knew just how wild their lovemaking had been today.
When Grace woke up, it was already dark.
She heard the door close and then Henry's footsteps. Moments later, he was at the bedroom door, asking, "Awake?"
Grace felt like her body was falling apart.
She pouted, "I still want to sleep."
Henry took off his jacket, sat by the bed, and reached into the blanket like he was searching for something. Grace gasped softly and said in a trembling voice, "Henry! Don't!"
He looked up at her, his eyes deep.
Then he pulled her out of the blanket, placing her on his lap. He brushed aside her hair and kissed her lightly for a while, then softly said, "I just went out to buy some ointment; let me put it on for you, okay?"
Though he asked, he had already lifted her nightgown, everything was tender and delicate.
Henry's long fingers applied the ointment carefully, not missing a spot, inside and out. Grace wrapped one arm around his neck, softly complaining, "Why do you always think about this?"
Henry paused, then honestly told her, "It's been a long time since I had sex. I couldn't control myself."
Grace didn't dare to ask more.
Henry finished applying the ointment and let her nightgown down, deliberately teasing her, "At the beginning, you'll think about it every day, but as time goes on, it will be less."
He wanted to carry her to the dining room. But Grace held onto him, softly asking, "Mr. Montague, what do you like about me?"
Henry didn't brush her off. He said, "I'll tell you during dinner."
During dinner, they sat at a small four-seater dining table. Henry was tall, making the space seem cramped, but the atmosphere was warm.
Grace had always been well taken care of. As she lowered her head to drink the soup, Henry leaned back in his chair, speaking in a firm tone, "Let's live together for a while and then get married, okay?"
Grace almost choked. Although she had been intimate with Henry and believed he genuinely liked her, she never dared to think about marriage. She thought she would at most be his close companion for a period.
Maybe three years, maybe five, or perhaps just a year or so.
Now, Henry was talking about marriage, and she felt like she was dreaming, forgetting to react.
Henry looked at her and said, "What's wrong? Don't you want to live with me? Or don't you want to get married?"
Grace softly said it was too fast, then continued drinking her soup. She also asked herself in her heart if she wanted to marry him and be with him forever. Actually, she did.
She wasn't pretentious and didn't refuse his request. Thinking for a moment, she said, "I still want to live on my own. After all, we just got together and don't know each other well. Maybe after some time, we'll find we're not that compatible."
Henry took out a cigarette but didn't light it.
His eyes were deep, with a meaning Grace couldn't understand. She was afraid he would be angry, so she softened her voice to coax him, "I have a salary. I used to be reluctant to spend it, but now I can freely use that money. I'll rent a bigger apartment myself, okay?"
Grace liked him and was willing to lower her pride for this affection. "Besides, Henry, I have nothing now. Let me save some money, and in the future, I can buy a small apartment, which would be an asset," she added.
These words successfully pleased Henry.
He still held the cigarette between his long fingers, then leaned over to kiss her, and then whispered against her forehead, "I'll arrange your apartment. No more refusals!"
Grace didn't want to dampen his spirits, so she softly agreed.
Henry kissed her for a while longer, then lightly patted her butt, telling her to wash the dishes. It wasn't a commanding tone but carried a sense of intimacy.
Grace felt inexplicably shy. After tidying up, she walked into the kitchen. While washing the dishes, she heard Henry talking on the phone. His voice was deep in the night, slightly hoarse, reminding her of the afternoon in bed. Occasionally, he would make sounds too. Grace never knew that men could make such sounds during lovemaking.
But hearing it, she felt especially aroused.
