Chapter 226 You Don't Love Me, Do You?
After a long, awkward pause, Grace finally blurted out, "Oliver, are you nuts?!"
Grace had never talked to Oliver like that before.
Oliver was just as shocked. Right now, he was chilling in a swanky villa in Vesper City, decked out with ivory and gold, screaming luxury. This was also where he kept Sarah stashed away.
Sarah, Dylan's sister, had tied the knot with Oliver when she was just 20. After the wedding, Oliver set her up in this fancy villa. Every day, she'd get chauffeured in a posh private car to ArtScape Academy for classes. After class, she'd ditch all social plans and head straight back home. Over the year, she had zero friends. She was like a caged bird, totally used to the pampered life.
Oliver didn't even want Sarah to acquire any practical skills. No housework either. He just kept her around, making sure she only knew how to paint.
Sarah was already pretty naive, and now she was even more clueless.
When it came to controlling people, Oliver thought he was way better than Henry ever was. He felt no guilt because, in his mind, Dylan had it coming.
He wondered if Dylan would be crushed seeing Sarah like this.
Under the crystal chandelier, Oliver leaned back on the sofa.
His lean body was wrapped in a dark gray shirt and black trousers. His handsome face looked a bit sharp because he was annoyed.
But when he talked to Grace, his voice was super gentle. "I'm not nuts. Grace, you don't need to stress about this. I'll handle it."
With Sarah under his thumb, Dylan wouldn't dare make a move!
Oliver wanted to make Dylan pay a thousand times over for what he did to the Windsor family, making Dylan's life a living nightmare.
After saying his piece, Oliver hung up the phone.
Just then, footsteps echoed from the second floor, and it was Sarah coming down.
Sarah was petite and super quiet. She had heard the car and knew Oliver was back, so she hurried downstairs to see him.
Sure enough, he was back.
He was still in his formal clothes, looking beat as he leaned on the sofa, rubbing his temples.
Sarah stood on the staircase, looking at him. She was worried but also scared, not daring to get closer. They had been married for a year, but she was still afraid of him.
Oliver put down his phone and looked up, just in time to see her.
"Come here!" He stretched his arm out on the back of the sofa, making it clear what he wanted.
Sarah bit her lip and slowly walked downstairs. She was still in last night's nightgown. It wasn't sexy at all, just a very innocent style. Her figure was slender and petite, not enough to make a guy's blood boil, but very well-proportioned. Actually, she felt pretty good.
When Sarah fell into his arms, Oliver didn't hold back, yanking off the pure cotton nightgown, revealing her tempting young body underneath.
Sarah had been so sheltered that even after a year of marriage, she was still not used to this.
When Oliver kissed her, she closed her eyes lightly, looking flustered. "Someone will see us! Let's go upstairs..."
Sarah's voice was swallowed by Oliver's fierce kiss.
She was so tender, small, and helpless under him, and he loved making love to her in the bright light. He never turned off the lights, even if they were downstairs, even now when it was already daylight.
Despite the numerous occasions, she still wasn't accustomed to it and softly uttered her dissent.But Oliver was in the heat of the moment, how could he let Sarah say no? He casually covered her with a blanket and walked into the bathroom to take a shower. After venting, he had no lingering feelings.
When Sarah woke up, Oliver was already dressed and ready to leave. She immediately knelt on the bed and asked him cautiously, "Are you leaving again?"
Oliver lightly pinched her cheek, his expression carrying a hint of playfulness, but the pure girl couldn't see it. She only knew that her lover was leaving again after just coming back.
'Isn't this our home?' she wondered.
As Oliver fiddled with his tie, he casually remarked, "I've given this month's bills to Laura. Behave yourself, go to school, chill at home, and I'll swing by when I'm free."Oliver had arranged everything well. Sarah just needed to be obedient. She didn't have to worry about anything, which seemed good. But Sarah felt something was wrong. Her life seemed to be all about waiting for him.
Sarah had no friends, no family around. Occasionally, when she missed Oliver and couldn't sleep, she would call him, but it was always his beautiful secretary who answered, always saying Oliver was busy.
Oliver was busy with work, busy with socializing. He told her to be sensible.

Sarah was still kneeling on the bed, naked. She listened in a daze to the sound of a car engine outside. She knew Oliver had left.

They were seen kissing passionately in a bar, oblivious to their surroundings.
Sarah was simple, yet very sensitive. She guessed that this was Oliver's real answer to her question: he didn't love her! He had a woman outside!
