Chapter 190 Grace Only Has Him as Her Man
No dude could just brush this off! Henry was no different.
He used to think Grace was with Brent, even pictured her getting it on with someone else. At one point, he just couldn't handle it and couldn't get close to her. But now? Now he's dying to be with her.
Henry was chilling in the car. Even though he was over thirty, he felt as hyped as a teenager. He wanted to get back to Tranquil Heights ASAP and see Grace right away.
Just as the driver was about to hit the gas, a slim figure stopped the car—it was Sierra.
Seeing the car stop, Sierra dashed to the back and knocked on the window. "Mr. Montague, I need to talk to you."
Henry thought for a couple of seconds and then rolled down the window. He sat there, his white shirt crisp and spotless, looking every bit the gentleman.
Sierra stood outside, looking way too worn out for her age. She stared at Henry's handsome face and asked, heartbroken, "Why don't you love me?"
Henry turned to her and met her gaze in silence.
Realizing this might be her last chance to speak her mind to Henry in this way, Sierra decided to throw caution to the wind and boldly demanded, "Three years! I worked my way up for three years just to be near you. Why are you denying me that right?"
"This isn't a right; it's a selfish desire!" Henry's tone was ice-cold. "No one asked you to do this! No one forced you to play those workplace games! I fired you not because of Grace, but because you crossed my line, mixing personal and professional matters and harassing my family!"
Sierra's face went pale. "But didn't you and her get divorced?"
Henry's expression turned frosty. He didn't answer Sierra's question and directly said, "If you harass Grace again, you'll end up like Elodie's parents."
With that, Henry told the driver, "Drive!"
Sierra was stunned for a moment, and the car had already started. She chased after it, banging on the car. "Mr. Montague! Mr. Montague."
But all she got was the car's exhaust.
Late at night, Celeste, wearing high heels, walked up behind Sierra and said softly, "You must be really upset. Why did Henry accept Grace when she clung to him back then, but not you?"
Sierra bit her lip.
Celeste's soft voice came from behind. "Every man has a dark side. To put it bluntly, they have some unknown preferences! Grace is Henry's preference! And you are nothing. Stop wasting your time on Mr. Montague; he will never like you."
With that, Celeste left.
Sierra was left standing in the night wind, her eyes full of tears.
When Henry got back to Tranquil Heights, it was already ten at night.
As soon as he got out of the car, a servant eagerly took his coat and told him, "Ms. Taylor Montague hasn't gone to bed yet. Mrs. Grace Montague is teaching her to play the violin! Ms. Taylor Montague is very talented; she plays beautifully!"
Playing the violin? Henry frowned slightly.
As he went upstairs, he heard a sound from the second floor that resembled a donkey's bray. He couldn't help but smile and think, 'After all, she was only four years old. She probably treats the violin like a saw.'
Pushing open the bedroom door, sure enough, Taylor was "sawing" away. And Sherry was jumping around.
Grace hadn't noticed Henry at the door. She picked up the violin and played a piece for Taylor by the window. Though not as good as before, her posture and the sound were still beautiful.
When the piece ended, Grace turned to speak to Taylor but saw Henry instead.
Henry's gaze was intense.
But with Taylor there, he held back and plopped down on the sofa. He'd had a couple of glasses of red wine at the event, making his handsome face slightly flushed, looking extra fine under the crystal light.
After Henry sobered up a bit, Taylor climbed onto him, wanting him to hold her.
Henry lifted Taylor's tiny body, letting her sit on his waist, and even brought the puppy over for her. Taylor started counting Henry's muscles, one by one, hard and firm.
Henry looked down at her but spoke to Grace, very gently. "Why'd you think of teaching her the violin?"
Grace gently stroked the violin.
After a while, she smiled faintly. "It's all in the past. Do I have to be sentimental forever? Besides, I've found something I like to do now."
Henry's heart softened, his blue eyes locked on Grace.
He longed for Grace, longed for her to be his true woman, his true wife. He had never wanted someone so much.
Late at night, after putting Taylor to bed, Grace took a shower.
When she got back to the bedroom, Henry was still sitting on the sofa by the window, his expression deep, lost in thought. Grace didn't bother him and sat at the dressing table to apply her skincare products.
After a while, Grace looked in the mirror.
Henry stood behind her, took the skincare product from her hand, and applied it to her face. His technique was very professional, more seductive than when Grace did it herself.
Grace smelled a faint scent of perfume on him. She frowned slightly.
Henry guessed what she was thinking and proactively explained, "There was a young lady at tonight's event, but I didn't let anyone get close! It must have been an accidental touch!"
Seeing Grace's indifferent expression, he knew she didn't care.
He couldn't help but hug her from behind, licking and kissing the soft skin behind her ear, his voice low. "I fired Sierra! She blocked my car when I came back from the event, that's all."
Grace knew Henry was explaining his whereabouts to her. To be honest, few men in the business world would explain to their wives like this.
But Henry forgot, they weren't married.
"That's between you two!" Grace indicated she wanted to rest then.
But Henry wouldn't let her go. He held her close, speaking softly into her ear about other things. He told her, "I saw Juniper at the club tonight. She was with Brent!"
In the quiet night, his voice was even more tender. "Grace, you knew I misunderstood, so why didn't you explain? Did you want me to misunderstand, to think you had another man, so I wouldn't like you anymore, is that it?"
Grace smiled faintly. "You're overthinking it! Henry, I really want to sleep!"
He wouldn't let her go.
He kept her close, their eyes locking in the mirror. Speaking softly, he asked, "Am I the only man you've been with? Have I been your only lover until now?"Grace was also a woman. Being held by him and hearing such seductive words, how could she not feel anything?
Her body quietly responded, but in her heart, she still hadn't forgiven him.
She rejected Henry's advances. "Today is not a fertile day! Let me go!"
Henry was also a man, and at his age, he was full of vigor.
He pressed against her, his voice sexy and low. "Last night you weren't in the mood, tonight isn't a fertile day. Grace, are you deliberately keeping me at a distance? Is it only on fertile days that I can touch you, make love to you?"
"Yes!" Grace replied.
