Chapter 629

Chapter 629

Henry pointed to a small button almost flush with the watch's surface. "This is the most important thing. Don't press it unless you're in danger. Got it?"

Gabriel tilted his head. "Why?"

"Because there's a tiny needle inside," Henry's voice turned serious. "If bad guys grab you, pressing this will make them fall asleep, and you can escape."

Zoey crouched down to look Gabriel and Travis in the eyes. "Remember the bad guy we met in Marigoldia? If you had this, then, you could've protected yourselves."

Gabriel and Travis nodded, somewhat understanding. Gabriel suddenly asked, "Will it hurt them?"

"Just like a mosquito bite," Joseph explained. "It'll only make them sleep for a while, it won't really hurt them."

Claire picked up another watch and examined it closely. "This design is so intricate, you can't even tell it has this feature."

"The Windsor Group's top tech team spent three months perfecting it," Henry said proudly. "It's waterproof, shockproof, has military-grade GPS accuracy, a week-long battery life, and," he lowered his voice, "only Zoey and I can unlock the anesthetic function with our fingerprints, so the kids can't accidentally activate it."

Zoey hugged Gabriel and Travis. "Now my little angels have a way to protect themselves, and Mommy can rest easy."

As night fell, Claire and Joseph said their goodbyes and left.

Zoey and Henry each carried a sleepy child back to their bedroom.

Travis's hand was still tightly gripping his new watch, even in his sleep.

Zoey gently kissed Gabriel and Travis on their foreheads and tucked them in.

Henry hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. "They'll be safe."

"I know." Zoey leaned into his embrace, her gaze falling on the watches glowing faintly on Gabriel and Travis's wrists. "Just thinking about that time in Marigoldia, if we had been half an hour late..."

Henry tightened his arms around her. "There won't be a next time. I've strengthened security at both the company and home, " he kissed Zoey's hair, "and our sons are smarter than you think. Gabriel is quite the 'ghost' who can hack into important systems with a tablet."

Zoey chuckled softly.

Moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow on the two small beds. The smartwatches emitted a faint blue light, like halos of guardian angels, quietly protecting Gabriel and Travis.

In the master bedroom next door, Zoey leaned against Henry's shoulder, finally allowing herself to relax.

In this home filled with technological safeguards and traditional warmth, her children would grow up safe and sound. This was her unwavering belief as a mother.

Two days later.

Sunlight streamed through the large windows of the Divine Horizons Hotel, illuminating the entire banquet hall in a golden glow.

Zoey stood at the entrance, her lips curling into a smile as she looked at the hotel's first floor, transformed into a fairy tale world.

Henry had truly outdone himself. To celebrate Gabriel and Travis's fourth birthday, the entire first floor of the Divine Horizons Hotel had been turned into a children's playground.

"Mommy!" Two young voices called out simultaneously.

Zoey looked down to see Gabriel and Travis, dressed in matching little suits, looking up at her with bright, expectant eyes.

"Is the birthday party ready?" Gabriel asked, his fingers tapping the air as if on an invisible keyboard, a habitual gesture of his.

"Are all my classmates here?" Travis eagerly asked. Unlike Gabriel's obsession with electronics, he was more interested in making new friends today.

Zoey crouched down and hugged her sons, kissing their soft cheeks.

"Everything's ready, and your classmates will be here soon," she said gently. "There are lots of surprises waiting for you today."

As soon as she finished speaking, the elevator doors opened, and a group of children in colorful clothes, led by their teacher, came out. Seeing their familiar classmates, Gabriel and Travis immediately broke free from Zoey's embrace and ran to greet them.

"Gabriel! Travis! Happy birthday!" The children excitedly congratulated them, quickly surrounding Gabriel and Travis.

Zoey stood up, watching the scene of her children being embraced by their friends, feeling a warm surge in her heart.

Six months ago, when she brought her sons back to the country, she had worried that Gabriel and Travis might struggle to make friends.

Now, under Henry's care, they had fully adapted to life here.

"How do you like it?" A deep, magnetic voice sounded in her ear.

Henry had appeared behind her, his hands gently resting on her shoulders.

Zoey turned around and looked up at the tall, handsome man.

As the president of the Windsor Group, Henry was known for his ruthless decisiveness in the business world, but with her and the children, he was incredibly gentle.

"It's perfect," Zoey said sincerely. "You've turned the entire floor into a playground."

Henry chuckled softly and pointed to the distance. "Not just a carousel and inflatable castle, I also had a mini tech museum built, with programming robots and simple telescopes for the kids."

Zoey followed his finger and saw that a corner of the banquet hall had indeed been set up as a tech playground, with colorful electronic devices and science toys neatly arranged.

"They'll love it," Zoey said with a smile. "Especially Gabriel, he's obsessed with programming."

Henry winked mysteriously. "Wait until they see the gift you prepared, they'll go crazy."

Just then, hotel staff pushed a giant gift box over.

The box was wrapped in silver paper, adorned with star patterns, looking both mysterious and high-end.

"Should we reveal it now?" Henry asked.

Zoey checked her watch. "Let's wait a bit, until all the guests arrive."

As time passed, the banquet hall grew lively.

Besides Gabriel and Travis's classmates, family and friends from both sides also arrived.

Alfred and Hazel were there, of course, and Franklin had a custom suit made for the occasion. Celine and Samuel were there too, and even some of Henry's key business partners sent their congratulations.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Henry stood on a small stage, holding a microphone. "Thank you for coming to celebrate Gabriel and Travis's fourth birthday. Today, Zoey and I have prepared some special gifts, and we hope Gabriel and Travis will love them."
