CHAPTER EIGHTY EIGHT

CHAPTER EIGHTY EIGHT
{Emil}

"What is going on? Have they discovered it yet?" I asked Asmi.

It had been a week since the Lexi girl was in my basement, and I was beginning to regret not ending her life then and there.

Asmi did not seem to be getting anything from the mole he implanted into her, and I was beginning to wonder if they would find out about it and use it against me.

Call me paranoid, but I was not taking my chances with Axle. I hated to admit it, but I knew that he was twice as strong as his father, twice as brave, and even smarter. To aid him, he even had a very powerful mate.

So I had to be extra smart if I was to defeat him; besides, he didn't trust me like his father did, so it would be impossible to stab him in the back.

Or would it?

"Calm down, babe, give it a few more days; besides, they're still in Washington, D.C.. We need to wait till they go back to Louisiana," he said. I calmed down a bit after hearing his explanation, and I began to watch him work.

In the time we had been together, you would think that I had learned basic potions and spells even if I couldn't cast them, but I hadn't.

Regular witchcraft was hard, now try dark magic, forbidden witchcraft, that would be impossible for any non-witch to learn.

He was mixing liquids and turning them to vapors with his hands, he was also chanting some spells, and the vapors, which were mostly dark in color, kept moving around.

I had no idea what he was going to do.

The rest of the vacation played out without further complications. I couldn't remember how I got to the beach, but Axle didn't want me stressing about it, so I stopped. I could ask Reyah once she gets back from the circle anyway, and this time I was determined to master my spells and learn the Crypetian language so that I could completely read the journal.

I had slyly asked my mother why she didn't share the journal with us, but she had said the journal was empty and that the paper was bad because she couldn't write on it.

I was shocked, it meant that only I could see the writings and read the book. Seraphine must have cast some type of spell on it so that only I could have access to its contents.

I wondered if the witch that had possessed Isla was the same warlock that Reyah had said was coming for me, if he was, then I had made a huge mistake.

I had forgotten the Jade necklace with the protective spell at home because I was in such a hurry to get to school with Axle. Reyah had made me promise never to take it off, and I never did, but that morning, it had gotten caught in my shirt, and I had to take it off to wear the shirt properly, but I had been rushing because I was about to make myself and Axle late, so I had left the necklace.

Maybe if I had been wearing the necklace, he wouldn't have found me.

I wondered if I had put my friends in danger.

I could not wait to go back to Louisiana and hopefully be past all of this, I would also make sure to put on the necklace once I get home and never take it off again.

"Don't even stress about it, Lexi, we'll be home soon, and we'll figure out what happened to you," Axle said and wrapped his arms around my waist.

It was out last night in Washington, DC, and we were already back at the hotel. Ever since the incident, we stopped skipping the school's line, and we started following the itinerary again.

"I'm not," I said and leaned back into him.

I closed my eyes briefly and took in a deep breath, he smelled really nice.

"Is there something wrong with your neck? You're itching again. Is it the scar?" Axle asked suddenly.

I had not even noticed that I had been itching, it was not the mark because it was the other part of my neck that had been itching.

"It's nothing, it's probably because I'm nervous," I said and stopped itching my neck. I turned towards the window glass to check the spot, it was a little red from all the scratching. Nothing was really out of order, and I was glad, I did not want to go back to wearing a neck scarf.

"Are you sure?" He asked and turned me to face him.

He had just taken his bath, so his hair was still wet, some droplets of water chose the perfect time to slide down his face and touch his lips as I looked up at him.

I stood on my tiptoes since he was taller than me, and I pressed my lips to his.

"Make me forget Axle," I whispered in his ear and kissed him again.

His hands tightened around my waist, and he shoved his tongue into my mouth, taking control of the kiss. He began to move me backward until we got to the bed.

I could feel his hardness poking at me between my thighs.

I separated my legs and spread them wider for him, his mouth trailed a path down my body and fastened over my hardened knob while his hand caressed and fondled the twin.

"Axle." I moaned and grabbed a handful of the blanket as his hand left my breast and delved between my legs.

I was so wet, I was literally already dripping onto the bed.

"So wet." He groaned and he pushed me up the bed slightly.

He used his hands to spread my folds, and after tracing my clt and pinching it, his fingers slipped into me, and I saw the stars.

When I came down from my high, I caught him watching me with lust, and I still felt his hardened member poking at me.

"I'll be back." He said and stood up from the bed. He was probably going to take care of that situation between his thighs, but not this time. I was determined to make him feel good as he had done to me.

"Wait." I pulled his hand and pushed him onto his back.

"You don't have to." He said and hissed as I cupped him through his boxers.

"I want to." I licked my lips and prepared myself.
