Charles originally intended to personally see James off from the Innovation Hub Tower; after all, James is the chairman of the Golden Peak Group.
As a subordinate, Charles naturally wanted to please him.
However, he hadn't anticipated James leaving so abruptly. James didn't give him a chance to flatter him; he simply stepped into the elevator and was gone.
Charles had to wait for the next elevator to come up and then hurriedly go downstairs.
But as soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw a group of people surrounding James, blocking him at the elevator entrance.
Witnessing this scene, Charles was nearly driven to the brink of collapse.
"Mr. Wilsons, why are you here?"
Seeing Charles in front of her, Sharon was somewhat frightened.
"Sharon, what are you doing?"
Charles stepped forward and questioned with a grim face, "Mr. Wilsons, this broke delivery guy insulted Miss Reed and she is finding someone to teach him a lesson!"
The receptionist didn't understand the situation at all, hastily explained, "The broke delivery guy?"
After hearing this, Charles paused momentarily before angrily pointing at the receptionist. "You're fired! Get out right now!"
The receptionist was instantly shocked. She blinked her tearful eyes, looked at Charles in confusion, and said softly, "Mr. Wilsons, I..."
"Can't you understand what I'm saying? Get out right now!"
Charles said coldly, then turned to James and bowed respectfully. "Mr. Chairman, are you okay? It's my fault for not escorting you down."
"It's fine!"
James waved his hand.
After hearing this from Charles, everyone was greatly astonished and perplexed.
Did the general manager of Golden Peak Group actually refer to a delivery boy as the chairman?
"Chairman?"
At this moment, Sharon was stunned, her pupils contracting sharply.
"Mr. Wilsons, what's going on here?" Sharon trembled as she looked at Charles.
"This is our newly appointed chairman of Golden Peak Group. Hurry up and apologize to him!" Charles shouted coldly.
Upon hearing these words, without hesitation, Sharon apologized to James with a fearful expression, "Mr. Smith, I was wrong just now. I offended you. Please forgive me."
After speaking, Sharon bowed deeply to James.
While bowing, she deliberately pushed her chest forward, revealing a beautiful cleavage, which left James stunned.
He couldn't help but sigh in his heart, acknowledging Sharon's sensuality surpassing that of the younger girls at the school.
With just her simple action, James felt an urge to take her to bed.
"James, how do you wish to handle this person?" Charles asked respectfully while looking at James.
Upon hearing Charles' question, Sharon became alarmed and hurried over to James. "James, please forgive me. As long as you don't dismiss me, I'm willing to do anything you ask," she pleaded with a soft voice.
As the leading company among the Fortune Global 500, it was tough to secure a position at Golden Peak Group.
Sharon had worked hard to become a department manager, earning a minimum annual salary of over a million dollars.
Losing this job over this incident was something she could not accept.
"Anything? Really?" James chuckled mischievously.
Seeing James's attitude, Sharon's face immediately softened into a flirtatious smile, "Yes, as long as you don't fire me, I'll do anything you ask."
As Sharon spoke, she licked her lips tantalizingly, displaying a teasing allure in her eyes.
Being in her early twenties and already a department manager, Sharon was well aware of her advantages.
Additionally, given James's position as the chairman of Golden Peak Group, she saw an opportunity to raise her status within the company.
"All right, since you're willing to do anything, starting tomorrow, you'll be the janitor at the company," James said casually before walking towards the exit.
Sharon stood frozen in place, deeply embarrassed and indignant.
She never expected that James would not succumb to her charms, but instead, she was assigned the role of janitor in the company.
"Did you hear what James just said?" Charles asked Sharon without expression on his face.
"Yes," Sharon quickly nodded. After all, being a janitor was preferable to being dismissed from the company.
