Dorothy’s POV

I closed my eyes, giving up, expecting the kiss, who knows, he might be into me just like they say but all of a sudden I heard some sounds on the floor and I wasn't feeling any kiss on my lips.

I opened my eyes, only to see my boss unconscious.

"Boss!!" I called but got no response from him.

I got scared and I went down hitting him begging him to wake up, but none was working, don't tell me my boss is dead, I like him, he should not do this to me.

Tears left my eyes as I rushed to get the phone on the desk to dial the emergency number.

Immediately the ambulance arrived, everyone was shocked but I was surprised when we were asked to volunteer who will go with him to the hospital but they all refused giving excuses. I can't believe humans could be this wicked, they know he might be strict but he is also nice as well.

I will follow him till he is better, his both parents are not even in the country as we speak.

I entered the ambulance sitting close to my boss , laying on the stretcher. I pitied him holding his hands and praying silently for nothing to go wrong with him.

We arrived at the hospital and he was taken inside to carry out the necessary duties so he will be fine.

I waited patiently to hear the good news that my boss is awake.

I placed a call to Daniella telling her what took place, she promised to visit the next few days.

What could have happened to the boss?

This can't be work stress right?

The doctor stepped out and I rushed to him saying, "Doctor tell me the news, is my boss alright now? What happened?"

"Take it easy young lady, you seem to care about your lover too much, you have been waiting till night." He said.

I think the doctor is mistaken me to be his lover, but that's not the question now so he added saying, "He will be alright."

I felt this peace within me knowing my boss is alive and I don't know why?

"Can I go see him now? Was it stress that caused this?" I asked.

"Food poisoning." He responded.

"What? But how?"

"I think the last meal he ate must have caused it, but luckily you brought him here in time, you can go in and see him but he is still sleeping, he might be awake anytime soon or the next day." The doctor said with a smile before leaving.

I shouldn't have gotten drunk last night, I shouldn't have, just my silly mistake, my boss took the wrong combination of food that almost killed him but I also doubt that maybe someone is trying to kill him, no matter what, I will always be by his side.

I entered the room my boss was in and admired him from the door stand before walking close to him.

He is so handsome, any girl will be lucky to have him in her life, like the girl who came earlier.

But there is something off about that girl, I have seen her face before but just can't remember.

I sat close to my boss, caressing his hair, smiling like a fool.

"I am happy you are fine boss, I deserve to be punished for giving you a hectic day, you even did my work meant for me, you are so romantic." I blushed.

I wish we both could stop pretending to ourselves, and be together, I know this is too much.

My phone rang and I checked the caller, a strange number.

"Who could be calling at this hour of the night?" I asked myself before answering.

"Hello pretty queen, Aiden speaking." He said.

"Oh Aiden, how are you?" I said over the phone.

"Fine, sorry I didn't call you, where are you? Can we meet? Probably get some drinks together." He added.

I would have loved to go out to get a drink with him but looking at my innocent boss, I just can't leave him by himself, I have no choice but to turn down his offer.

"I am sorry, maybe next time, I am with someone now and I can't leave the person all by himself." I let it out.

"Okay, I understand, but I am kind of jealous hearing the word him."

I laughed on the call, "You are so funny, I need to go now."

"Alright pretty queen, good night, I will call you tomorrow."

He ended the call, I can't stop laughing, I wish my boss could be as outspoken as Aiden.

I wondered why my boss was still not waking up, suddenly I felt sleeping and dozing off resting my head on the side of the bed sitting on the chair.

Oliver's POV

I opened my eyes not recognising where I was.

I remembered I was with Dorothy at the office, but that's all I could recall.

I tried standing up, that's when I knew I was in the hospital, I felt a little pain in my stomach and noticed someone was sleeping beside me.

I couldn't believe Dorothy is watching over me here and sleeping here to see me get better even if I didn't know what brought me here.

I stood up from the bed, making sure I never interrupted her sleep and went straight to the doctor's office to Inquire from him what happened.

Hearing what happened, I decided never to eat at that restaurant I went with Cleopatra, I called my friend and he told me Dorothy likes me, that others refuse to come with me, my parents out of the country and the so girl my mom wants me to date turns out not to care a bit, I will pretend like I know nothing.

I paid the doctor to get a bed for Dorothy, I don't want her having body pains when she wakes up in the morning.

I carried her bridal style to the bed and kissed her forehead again. I couldn't sleep, I knew I needed rest but I decided to watch her sleep till morning.

I noticed she was waking up, I quickly tried rushing to my bed when I hit my leg then she said, "Boss is

that you? You are awake?"

I can't let her know I am developing feelings for her already, I need to think.
