Chapter 10: Alexandria(8): Mr. Veyron
–Alexandria–
When I heard the sound of a vehicle, seeing more cars by the driveway, my instinct told me to run. But it was a bad idea. Now, I’m shaking and back in the cabin. This man, who looked like Mr. Veyron. But in a lazy look. More like a free spirit than Mr. Veyron. He looked at me indifferently. He’s been staring at me after he covered me with a blanket.
“What?” I asked him. “Why are you staring at me?”
He smiles slowly and lazily. He looks so fucking stupidly handsome. I mean, he also has a good voice.
“Can I hug you?”
“Fuck, no!” I hold the blanket tightly, and the door opens as my jaw literally drops upon seeing this tall man entering with blood and a hole in his shirt. He removed it and tossed it by the fireplace.
He’s pale, but he’s so fucking fine. I averted my eyes quickly, but I froze when I knelt down on one knee and cupped my face.
“If you do that again, I’m going to lock you up.” He threatens, eyes cold with a little worry? I stared at him, surprised.
“You look fine,” I murmured as he reached my left ankle. I winced.
“Breathe,”
“Wh”
“Inhale.” I did as he said and cracked. I gasped and smacked his chest.
“Ow!”
He checked it again and gently twisted it.
“It’s good now.” He murmured. “Bring ice.”
After he said that, an ice bag was already in front of us.
“What are you?”
He smirked as those fangs showed. There’s howls again, and now I realize that those were real werewolf shifters. It’s supposed to be a fantasy, but now… they are fucking real.
“Get out,” he signed to the man named Demetri.
He leaned closer to my neck and inhaled my scent.
“Mi Amor, your scent can make every werewolf aroused. You are bleeding.”
I flushed bright red and slapped his face. He didn’t flinch at all.
“Sorry,” I muttered.
“Don’t say you are sorry after slapping a man.” He laughed, amused. The voice is so damn deep and baritone that I think my internal organs are screaming for orgasm. It’s so fucking weird, but his voice is better than the audiobook boyfriends that I had.
Shortly, that other handsome guy arrived with two pairs of white shirts. He placed it over the sofa.
“We need to hurry, Lia is getting impatient.” He said and left.
He scooped me and took me to the bathroom, setting me down by the small chair and turning on the shower, adjusting the heat.
“Take a bath. Can you stand?”
I stood and pressed my hands against the wall.
He was about to undress, but I stopped him.
“What are you doing?”
“Helping you to bathe.”
“No way!” I hissed.
“Fine,”
“I can do it myself.”
“Don’t slip.” He checked the shower and then the floor.
I managed to bathe, and when I wrapped the towel around me, I stared at the pads that were wrapped with tissue and dropped it on the trashbin. The door opened as I gasped.
“What the hell?”
He didn’t stare at my naked body; instead, he wrapped me in a robe. Then, he pointed at his shirt.
“Wear that.”
He took the trash bin and gathered my clothes.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Burning it.”
“Why?”
He tilted his head, his smile was a little unhinged, but so damn sexy.
“You are bleeding,” He mumbled. “I told you before what will happen.”
“That’sinsane.”
“Your cousin brought you here in his pack.”
“What?” My eyes widened. “I am in a werewolf pack town?”
“Exactly, I know you’ve been reading a lot of fantasy, and this is not fantasy, Mi Amore. This is real.” He tipped my chin up. “Hurry up, but be careful. We will be leaving as soon as possible.”
He left as I quickly got ready, making sure that I had my menstrual pads on and sprayed myself more with perfume. Then, I came out. I froze when my nose was just half an inch from his chest. He took the towel and the robe from me, and he carried me, making me a little dizzy.
He threw it on the chimney and poured more gasoline on it.
I just sat on the sofa, still shivering. I didn’t even have my bra on. I looked at my duffel bag that contained my personal belongings. My stomach growls as I feel embarrassed. He turned to me, shooting me a glare.
“You haven’t eaten?” He nearly snarls. “You left the mansion, and your stupid hybrid cousin brought you here without food?” He scoffed. “I’m gonna kill him.”
“Stop with your threats! Don’t you fucking touch him!” I threatened as his eyes softened.
I’m starving.
He turned back, and I don’t know where he went, but he came back with a bar of chocolate and water. I took it and opened the wrap as I took a bite.
I watched as he extended his hand toward the fire, as it burned the fabrics fast. Wow. What is he? A vampire or a witch? What is he?
He picked up the duffel bag and carried me as I watched the fire in the chimney die down. Then, he took me into the SUV. I realized that there were no more cars around. He put me in the front seat secure the seatbelt. I fixed it, and to my surprise, he placed a pillow and blanket over my lap. The pillow is from the room that I am using back in that cabin.
“Why~~”
“Just cover yourself. It’ll be colder there. Also, you can sleep.”
I sipped on the water, and I was also surprised when there was a pillow under it. I relaxed my left ankle, and he turned the car around.
I watched as we headed to the entrance/exit of the town. A bulky man, topless with scars on his body, was standing there. He rolled the window half open as the man crouched down to peek at me. He smiles. Oh, it’s Terrence Grayson.
“Alexa,”
I smiled at him.
“I’ll be leaving,”
He nodded as this cold man rolled the window up and left without saying anything. I leaned on my seat and watched it very seriously. I reclined my chair and pulled the blanket over me. Even his shirt smells nice. I felt his hand over my head, gently caressing me.
“Why did you save me?”
He didn’t answer as he pulled his hand away.
“Just sleep, Alexandria.”
“Alexa,” I corrected him. I gripped my blanket. I hate it that I’m still shaking a little from what happened a while ago. I had seen it. That sharp bamboo was struck through his chest. He pushed me up, the sharp wood nearly struck me, too. It was damn near, and the way he held me was with care. I never felt so protective in my whole damn life.
Somehow, it also feels familiar, which was weird.
I hugged the pillow, trying hard not to stare at him, so I turned back from him to just sleep it off, although I’m still shaking.
