Chapter 62 Chapter 62:The King Who Begged
Chapter 62:The King Who Begged
Vishiea’s POV
“Vishiea!"
" Let me go!”
I heard my guards shouting in pain. I turned to look and one of them was already lying on the ground.
My forehead knotted as I looked at Darius. What the fuck is wrong with him?
“That’s enough, Darius!” I shouted. I didn’t even dare to address him as the king. He came here just to cause trouble in my place.
He has no shame. He’s the king, but he’s acting this way.
“Let me enter, Vishiea. I am ordering you,” he uttered as he fixed his clothes.
What the fuck—he doesn’t own me. He’s the king, but I don’t care.
“Listen carefully, Darius. Stop pretending like you still have a conscience, because it’s too late for that. I am trying to live a peaceful life right now. So leave, and don’t you dare hurt my men,” I told him.
He shook his head. He looked at me with pleading eyes.
You can’t get me by doing that, Darius. I already know you. I already know what kind of king you are. We’ve been tough for how many years, yet you still cheated on me. You even managed to reject me as your mate, and now you’re here begging for forgiveness? For what?
Telling me that after all those years, you only realize it now? That you were wrong? Damn you, Darius. Stop messing around. I know you just want to fucking play stupid games, because that’s what you’re good at, Darius.
I am no longer the Vishiea you can fool easily. I am no longer that Vishiea you can hurt whenever you want. I’ve changed—and that’s because of you and your family.
Now, you’re here. Acting too desperate. But that won’t change the fact that you can’t get me.
“Just please, open this and let’s talk,” he said, trying to open the gate, but my men stood still. This is not his property.
“Just spill whatever you want to say, Darius,” I told him.
He looked at me with sadness.
“I was wrong. I love you, Vishiea. My love for you never faded,” he started.
My forehead knotted. His love never faded?
Is he for real? What the fuck is wrong with him? Did he hit his head or something?
“You must be dreaming, Darius. We’re already done so long ago. Stop bringing back the thing you ruined. You were destroyed,” I said firmly.
I saw him gulp. In just a second, his two men approached him.
“Your Majesty, we have to leave. The former king is now looking for you,” the other one said, but he only pushed him away.
That means the former king is still in the palace. He didn’t know that Darius was here.
“Fucking leave! No one dares to order me. I am the king, and I will do whatever I want to do!” he shouted at his two men.
I was shocked because of his reaction. Even if he is the king, he should listen to his father. But now, he has changed. He doesn’t even want to spare the former king.
“Your Majesty, please. If you continue doing this and the former king finds out about it, he will kill us. He won’t spare our lives if we come back there without you, Your Highness,” they pleaded, but Darius didn’t want to listen to them.
“Your Majesty, please, come with us. The kingdom shouldn’t know that you came here begging—to this treacherous woman,” the man with brown hair said.
I was about to speak after what he called me when Darius suddenly grabbed the sword from him and pointed it at the man.
I was stunned by what he did.
“Say another word insulting my mate, and you’ll be in your spot,” he said in a serious voice.
The man with brown hair trembled in fear.
“I was wrong, Your Majesty. I didn’t mean to say that. Please forgive me,” the man kneeled on the floor.
“Stop this scene, Darius. I don’t care what they said. Besides, that’s what you think of me and your whole family. Just leave and never come back. And in case you forgot—you rejected me as your mate. We’re no longer mates, Darius. Stop acting like we still are,” I told him.
I feel like I am no longer affected by his presence, especially now that he’s begging and making a scene in my place.
I am tired of crying. I am already tired of thinking where I went wrong. I am so tired of living in the past. I lost interest all of a sudden.
Maybe because everything already sank in. That I should just let things go. I should just accept everything and start a new life.
Maybe Mother Kiara, Aunt Kennedy, and Dylan were right. I should start a new life.
I watched Darius as he tried to harm his own men. They ended up leaving him alone. I looked at his whole body.
Darius, I can’t even recognize you right now. You really did change. You changed so badly that I don’t even know if it’s still you or not.
I don’t want to believe your lies again. I don’t want to be fooled by your fake concerns again. I am so tired, Darius. I so freaking want you to disappear from my life.
“No! I will not leave until you let me enter, Vishiea. I will not leave unless you give me a chance to hold you again. I will not leave until you change your mind,” he uttered while standing behind the gate.
Is he trying to make me have a conscience right now? Did he ever think of me that day, begging him—doing the same thing just to save my father—but he ended up watching me in deep sorrow?
What I experienced before was nothing compared to what he’s doing right now.
That’s why I will not give him a chance.
“Vishiea, please. Just give me another chance and I will prove myself to you. Please open this door,” he uttered while trying to enter, but he couldn’t.
“Stop this, Darius! I will never give you another chance to break me. Get the hell out of here! Everyone, don’t you dare let him enter inside. Or else you know what will happen,” I warned my men.
They all nodded their heads.
