Chapter 7: Making An Ally

Chapter 7: Making an Ally.

Scarlett's POV

“What is it?” He frowned. “We have an emergency!”

“What?!” He closed his eyes angrily. “I will be back next time, little fly.” He winked as he pinched my nipple. “Ahhh!” I let out a moan, and that made me feel embarrassed. Scarlett How could you let yourself moan before this man? I bit my lips angrily.

“If you want me to stay, just say it; I won't judge you.” He bit his lips seductively. “Get the fuck off me?” I kicked him.

“That 'F' word might get you in trouble later; be careful,” he teased as he got off me. “I enjoyed your little game.” He chuckled as he reached out for my nipple again, but I sprang up and turned around immediately. He spanked my ass, which made me turn to him angrily. I wanted to attack him, but I knew that wasn't the time for that, so I suppressed my anger. 'So shameless!’ “Get the car ready!” He ordered, and his gaze darkened as he left the room.

“He is going out to kill people again.” I mumbled beneath my breath, remembering the scene I saw the other night. 'He is a monster.’

I threw my hand into the air angrily. “Crazy bastard!” I cussed, looking at the mark on my breast. “How could he leave a hickey? He must be out of his mind.” I hissed, going towards the bathroom. I wanted to wash his touch off my body; I felt irritated remembering how my body responded to his touch.

“I failed this time, Logan Russo. Next time you enter this room, I will make sure you will be carried out by your men unconscious.” I clenched my fist angrily, staring at my reflection in the mirror.

I slipped out of my skirt, but then I noticed blood on my pants. 'What the heck?!’ I shut my eyes embarrassingly, remembering how Logan slipped his fingers into my pants just to get his blood on me. My body shivered remembering that scene; I could feel how wet between my thighs was.

“This won't work.” I muttered as I thought of another way to kill him and escape. I took my bath hurriedly and slipped into one of the clothes inside the closet that was stacked with designer dresses, but I made sure it wouldn't reveal my chest because I was ashamed of walking inside the mansion with the mark on my chest.

I walked out of my room, trying to check the mansion settings, but the more I walked, the more I found it complicated. The mansion was well secured; one would never be able to get out of there unless that bastard allowed it; the route was confusing.

“The architect is a psychopath like the house owner.” I hissed, looking at the roof. 'The only person that can leave this place without using the gate would have lived here for years.’ Ied it over in my head. “Ugh.” I grunt as I bump into a maid. “Sorry, ma'am!” The maid panicked as she went on her knee immediately. “I deserve to be punished, ma'am!” She kept shaking. I was speechless because I knew I was at fault for not paying attention.

“Please, stand up.” I said, but she refused. “On your feet!” Ied it, making it sound more like an order. Even though I grew up rich, I was spoiled. I always chat with maids, so I have never experienced a maid doing that much because of such a reason, except for my cruel uncle. He was hated by all the maids, and they always made sure to stay away from him whenever he was home.

“Yes, ma'am!” She sprang up and bowed. “Are you hurt?” I asked worriedly, and she looked at me like I was an angel. “No, ma'am.” She shook her head. “You don't have to call me ma'am; we seem to be of the same age. My name is Scarlett; just call me that.” I stretched my hand out for a handshake.

“Erica, that's my name.” She smiled shyly as she shook hands with me. Looking at her gave me an idea. “Erica? You have a nice name. I like your name so much.”

“Thank you, Scarlett.” She blushed. “Let me help with that; it seems heavy.” I said, carrying one of the boxes that fell out of her hand, but she stopped me. “You can't…. Don Logan will get angry at me if he finds out.” She said, taking the boxes from me. “We are friends now. I want to help you, and Logan won't get angry, I promise you that; you are safe.” I smiled at her.

‘His employees must fear him so much.’ Ied it over in my head, seeing how cautious Erica was. We both got to the storage room and dropped the boxes.

“Thank you so much, Scarlett.” She smiled as she breathed heavily. “It's okay, we are friends anyway.” I shrugged it off. “I still have to thank you anyway; you are the first person that ever offered me help since I started working here.” She mumbled.

“Really?” I asked, and she nodded. “Oh… when did you start working here?” I asked slowly even though I knew that she was young and wouldn't have any ideas about the mansion escape route.

“Hmmm… It has been ten years.” She replied with a smile, and I widened my eyes at her. “I'm not joking, Erica.” I shook my head at her, disappointed in her. “I am joking either. I will be 19 this year, and I've been here since I was nine years old,” she said with a straight face.

“How did it happen? Is he into little girls too?” I asked angrily, trying to calm myself. “What? I don't understand you.” Erica furrowed her brows at me confusedly.

“I mean— are you talking about Don Logan?” She asked, interrupting me, and I nodded. “He is not nice, but that is not the case with me. He doesn't even know that I exist.” She explained. “Oh…” I said, realizing how overreacted I was.

“But what do you mean by ‘too’?” She asked, looking at me worried. “Erica, I am not VIP. I am being kidnapped right now, and I am looking for an escape route in this big mansion.” I blunted.

“What? Kidnapped?” She gasped in shock. “Yes, I got kidnapped by that monster, and I am no more safe here.” I said, walking closer to her. “Erica, you have a decade here. I know you can help me get out of here.” I spouted.

“But it's dangerous.” She bit her lips as she shook her head. “Please, Erica, I will make sure to repay your kindness one day.”

“Okay…. I will help you, but I might lose my dear life while doing that. I'm scared.” She shivered as her palm started sweating profusely. “Don't worry, I won't let that happen.” I reassured her.

“Okay— how long can it take you to help me escape?” I asked. “The question is, when do you wish to leave?” She smirks at me with a serious face.

“What's the plan?”
