(Karson’s POV)
I was nervous, I actually won the mini-golf game without even trying. Ruby looked a bit disappointed and that hurt me. I wanted her to like me and to trust me.
“Well, I guess that means you will accompany me as my Luna, and because you were being a good sport about losing, how about I let you meet my wolf? I promise I’ll be by your side for the entire fundraiser,” Karson said.
“That… That sounds great, let’s head back to the pack house.”
The drive didn't take long. Once we arrived back on pack grounds, I opened the car door for her and led her to my favorite spot in the territory. It was a 10 minute walk from the pack house. No one had ever been here before I found it. It was a secluded area covered in tall trees, soft field flowers and a pond with crystal clear water. This was my spot, my secret place and Ruby was the first girl I’ve ever brought with me to experience the beauty of this secluded place.
“Wow, Karson, this place, it’s gorgeous.” Ruby replied, eyes wide with curiosity.
I want to meet my mate. Leo cried.
Give me a moment. I want her to be comfortable.
You take too long. Leo whimpered.
Tonight was perfect. I’ve taken girls on dates, but I’d never had this much fun before. Ruby looked stunning, even if she felt she wasn’t ready to be Luna, she had what it took. I wanted to kiss this woman so badly, she made it worse for me to control myself when she bit down on her lower lip.
“I’m glad you like it. It’s where I go when I need to get away and just breathe. If you like, you can use this place as well. You know if you ever need to get away.” I said.
“I appreciate that, Karson, thank you.” It was the first time I had seriously seen her smile since she came here. It made my heart flutter. We sat near the edge of the pond. Her scent filled my nose. It was the first time I really took in her scent. She smelled of vanilla and Lilies and I swear if it wasn’t for my resistance I would have marked her right here and now. She looked beautiful under the moonlight. I was thankful that the goddess paired me with her. I knew that I could make her happy, if only she would let me past her walls.
“Thank you for tonight. It made me happy for once to have someone who actually listened to me.” Ruby said as she placed her hand on mine. I knew right there that the moon goddess did not make any mistake when she mated us. I stood up and walked a few paces behind her where she could still see me. I removed my clothes, only leaving my boxers on. Ruby sat there. I could see she was a little hesitant but excited as I lowered myself onto all fours. My fingernails extended to claws as my hands turned to paws, the cracking of my bones made me wince in pain. No matter how many times I shifted, it still hurt, my body started to cover in black fur as my face was replaced with a snout and pointy ears. He was bigger than most wolves, but that came from being an alpha. Leo now had full control, as he sat down with his tail wagging slowly back and forth.
Ruby looked at us with her eyes wide, she didn’t seem scared, she only stood there looking at us.
What should we do? I asked Leo
Like you said, let her make the first move. I don’t want to scare her either. Leo replied.
Ruby slowly took a step closer, anticipation in her eyes. My heart was racing, ever since I found out she was my mate, all I wanted to do was keep her safe and make her mine. The closer she got to us, the faster her heart fluttered. She reached her hand out to touch us. As she did, Leo instantly nudged his head for her to touch.
“Wow, you're beautiful. You look like the night sky.” She said in almost a whisper, as she knelt down on her knees. Leo licked her cheek, she had tears pouring down, as if this was her first time crying. Looking through Leo’s eyes, I could see how he looked at her. Leo never had patience before all this, and with Ruby he acted like a sweet puppy. We lay there allowing her to pet us and cry. I could tell she had been holding in her emotions and finally, after so long, she was finally able to let those emotions out. We sat there for nearly an hour before her tears subsided. Leo looked at her, waiting for her to speak.
“I wasn’t expecting to cry, thank you for this.” Ruby said as she wiped the last of her tears. I shifted back, putting my pants on, I knelt down to Ruby and placed a kiss on her lips. She didn’t fight me, instead she embraced the kiss as I furthered it more. Our tongues entwined with one another, I could feel her temperature rise as her arousal filled my nose. I wanted her more than anything in the world, and I was willing to take it at her own pace. For now, the furthest I would go was this right here, with her in my arms and me kissing her. When Ruby broke the kiss for air, I looked at her and smiled.
“You are the most beautiful woman and I’m glad the moon goddess paired me with you, Ruby.” I said breathless. Ruby blushed as she looked at me with her emerald green eyes.
“I’m glad to.” She said as she cuddled up against me. She stayed in my arms for what felt like hours, but it was only minutes. I knew I should take her home but I wanted to keep her here for as long as she would let me.
“Ruby?” I said, looking down at her.
“Yes?”
“Can I take you and your pups out for a movie tomorrow?” I asked.
“Well, if I’m going to be your luna I suppose I can’t hide my children from you for long.” She replied with a laugh.
“Actually, this wouldn’t be the first time that I’ve spent time with your pups,” I said sheepishly.
“What do you mean?” She questioned.
“When you had to be brought to the pack hospital after your stroll with my mother, it was me who ended up watching your pups while you were getting checked up on.” I said with a smirk “They actually like me.” I added.
All Ruby could do was laugh, and in return I laughed as well. Once we caught our breath from laughing, Ruby stood up. I tried to follow suit but she stopped me and told me to wait. I watched her disappear behind some of the trees, I could hear the cracking of bones and immediately knew she was shifting.
We’re finally going to meet our mate’s wolf! Leo howled.
I pushed his thoughts away as I witnessed the most divine beast appear from behind the trees. Ruby’s wolf was beyond beautiful. She was much bigger than my wolf by at least two feet, with pure silver fur and white paws. Her eyes were the same color as Ruby's, only more vibrant. She moved like she was a queen, she was majestic and I couldn't look away.
“Ruby, your wolf is beyond beautiful, she’s… I don’t know what to say!” I said. Ruby sat there looking at me, it almost felt like she was smiling at me. She moved behind the trees again, and emerged in her regular form.
“Flora wanted to meet you, so it was only fair since I got to meet Leo,” Ruby replied. I couldn’t take it anymore. I wanted her even more now that I met her wolf. Ruby looked up at me almost as if she was expecting something.
“I want you Ruby.” I said, yearning for her.
“I know, I don’t want to fight this feeling anymore-” I cut her off as I placed my lips on hers. Sparks erupted as the bond strengthened the chemistry. I picked her up and carried her to the pack house. I made it back soon after while my lips were still attached to hers. I carried her up to my room and closed the door behind us.
“I want you, right now.” I said again once we entered my room. I watched her eyes move down to where my now erected groin stood at attention begging for release. Her lips curled into a soft smile ever so slightly as she whispered, “I know.”
I focused on her mouth, then back to her eyes, then back again to her mouth. Her lips are so plump and full and her eyes filled with desire. My hands lift her blouse up over her head as she stands there in her bra and jeans still, my hand trails through her long raven hair and at that moment my lips connect with hers so fiercely, it sends a burning sensation through me. Ruby fumbles with my pants as she searches for the zipper. Once she has it undone, my pants drop to the floor. I reach for her and gently lay her on the bed, removing hers as well, till she’s lying there with nothing but her bra and panties. A low growl escapes my mouth as she lays there, so beautiful in all her glory. I kiss her as my body slides on top of her. The kiss becomes so intense, so deep, that it's filled with something I’ve never felt before.
My hands explore her upper body, as I fumble with the clip of her bra. Once undone, her breasts lay there free. My lips trailed down from her lips to her now bare breasts, as my tongue playfully teased her nipple.
Her moans fill my ear, which only excites me more. I begin to gently nibble on her nipple, this time teasing her as my fingers trail down her chest, to her navel and down to her panties. I grab them, sliding them off of her as my hand trails back up to her entrance.
Ruby’s breath becomes so quick as she whines, “Just touch me,” she arches her back impatient against my hand. I wasn’t going to make her wait anymore. Slowly, I brought my finger down and slid it gently over her folds. Ruby gasped as she threw her head back, moaning in pleasure, “Yes, oh goddess, yes.” I slid my finger in again, this time my finger slipping between her folds and gathering her wetness.
I part her with two fingers and find her clit, rubbing it in a small circular motion. Ruby cried out as I placed my mouth on her entrance, the taste of her, the smell of her, the feel of her so close to me, skin to skin. Time and space had no meaning anymore, there was only her and right now she was mine.
