Ezlynn Mavery Skylar's Pov:

I was running with my newborn baby in my arms. I kept running. I asked for help. I shouted for help. Nobody came. I was drenched in blood. But it was not mine. It was my father and mother’s. They were brutally killed right in front of me by that monster.

Flashback:

My husband Jack Evans Skylar was holding my hand. I was laying in my bed with our baby in my arms. She looked peaceful.

"She looks like you. She is so beautiful, baby." Jack said kissing my forehead. I giggled.

"She is more beautiful than me. She is like the full moon. So pretty.

My parents came inside the room. They looked happy. I gave birth in our house. I got in labor suddenly and there were no hospitals near us. Since my mom worked as a nurse before, she helped my baby come out to see the world. I smiled at my parents and told them to come near. They came to me and picked up my sweet little daughter. My dad picked her up.

"Oh my! Look at our precious little version of Ezlynn and Jack. She is so tiny. Can we both name her?" My father asked smiling at me with hope in his eyes.

"Yes, you can. You definitely can, my lovely dad!" I mumbled softly smiling at my father.

"Hello, baby. Hope you are having a little good nap there. Do you know what your name is, my baby? It's Adira. Adira Skylar." My father said caressing her cheek.

"That's a beautiful name. I love it." I said smiling.

"The meaning is beautiful just like her. Adira means strong, noble, and powerful. And you know the meaning of Skylar. It means eternal life, strength, love, and beauty." My father said looking at me.

"It is beautiful just like our beautiful baby Adira, Dad," Jack said beside him looking at Adira.

"Don't you ever dare to scold her. I will not let you both inside my home if you do that ever. Understand?" My mom said trying to look tough. We chuckled and nodded.

"We won't ever. We promise." Jack said holding my mom's hand.

"Did you guys notice she is a normal human being? She doesn't have any characteristics like us. That's a relief, right?" My dad said.

"Yeah, that's a good thing. She is a normal human being." Jack said.

Adira started to cry suddenly. So, dad gave her back to me. Swaying her softly, she stopped crying and again fell asleep. I looked at my parents. They were smiling at me. I smiled back. Suddenly, blood splattered on me. Mom fell on the bed.

"Mom!" I screamed in horror. Then in a second, Dad's blood was all over me. He fell on the bed too. Jack and I looked in fear at each other. My world just collapsed. My universe was not here anymore. Placing Adira in Jack's arms, I hurried over to my dad and mom.

"Mom! Dad! Wake up! God, who did this? God, please bring them back! I can't live without them!" I cried out, hugging them both. Suddenly, a chuckle interrupted me. I looked at the person and shivered in fear.

"Boo! Found you!" He said laughing maniacally.

"Ez, take Adira and run as far as you can! Run! Don't look back, baby! Please!" Jack yelled at me when he saw that evil coming towards us. Jack handed me Adira and turned into a wolf. That psycho chuckled and said, " You know I can just not even give you a chance to fight. But since you are saying so, let's fight." He said and jumped on Jack. I ran taking Adira from there. I didn't look back. I was so weak but I kept running to save our lives.

"Please God, protect my love. Protect Jack! Don't let him die!" I whispered crying. Adira was crying too.

End of flashback.

No one helped. I just kept running and prayed to God for Jack. I was on the verge of passing out. I knew I couldn’t. He would kill Adira. I couldn’t pass out now. No, please!

After a while, I couldn't even walk anymore. I fell with Adira in my arms. Just before closing my eyes, I saw Jack running to me. "Ez! Ezlynn don't close your eyes! Baby!" He yelled out. I closed my eyes and everything went black.

Kristopher Davies's Pov:

"I will let you both live for some more time now. But watch your backs, I will be coming again. And next time, you both will die. I will show no mercy and kill you both. Stay happy until then." I said smirking watching them. I walked away from there singing my favorite song, "Delia's Gone" by Johnny Cash.

"Delia, oh, Delia,

If I hadn't have shot poor Delia,

I went up to Memphis,

I found her in her parlor,
